god I hope they turn this into an annual thing. I live in Maine, but was away at work for this. I would love to go to it if there's a next time. Just listen to those screamers!

I know nothing about these, but I want to now... What's with those mid-air trajectory corrections? Internal mechanism or is the operator just throwing it in reverse?

Merchant sailor here; you could just say "house" and most of us would nod our heads in agreement.

Done!

funny, I just autocrossed one of these last weekend. It was some of the mos fun I've had in a car!

Damn right it would be. Mine, as nice a shape as it's in, is still only worth about $3,000. Doesn't matter to me though. I'm not getting rid of it. I'll get you some more pics as soon as I get to my computer.

May -> October is the best you'll get around here. It was restored in '03, lived with me on the coast for some time, she does have some bubbling now but it's slowed greatly over the last few years now that I have a real garage. Thanks, love this car.

Wicked! That's my uncles '69 390 go pack 4 speed above.

thanks! I need to get some better pics of it. I have this compulsive notion to post it everytime you guys bring up AMC, particularly the Hornet.

it was pretty damn good looking from the rear too, particularly in SCCA prep.

I personally, am glad they went with the hatch. My first car in 2003 and I still have it.

does that last one have a 6bt in it????

jazz? No way, drifting is more like shredding on guitar. I'd put jazz as an equivalent to nasa time trial.

So. Goddam. Happy.

this was what I was referencing. One of the most badass autox cars ever.

That is wicked!

might this sprite be painted lime green and have a penchant for dodging cones?

we used to go from ME to FL every year in one of those. My grandfather built me a bed type setup behind the 3rd row, without a seatbelt of course, so I could chill out. Reality was the odds of us getting in an accident in the first place were lessened separating me from my sister.

another native Mainer *salute*
