The completely silly juvenile looks will continue to deter me from this car. Would have enjoyed a toned down model to possibly replace my Mk7 GTI, but guess I’ll hold out for the Mk8 GTI/R.

The reality is it has almost nothing to do with life-saving tech, but almost everything to do with poor drivers. Training/experience/ability is the answer, not more airbags and electronics.
2002 4Runner w/ 217k on the clock.
This gen Dakota holds a dear place in my heart. I had two 99 R/T’s- one single cab, one ext cab, and my parents had an 03 quad cab 4X4 w/ the 4.7. Loved them all.
It simply comes down to this-
Easy to say if you haven’t driven both.
Oh, well we agree there. To me, there is NO greater sin than a car wasting away and never getting driven or enjoyed. I’d rather see it stuffed in a barrier than to fall to that fate.
And a 918 is still so insanely quick it is nearly impossible to go WOT. There isn’t an on ramp short enough for you you to not be able to double whatever the speed limit at the bottom of it is. Cars at this level are cool, but nearly unpushable on the street.
E. 30.
I love plenty of ugly cars! 4Runner, Urus, etc. This just isn’t one of them. These hole-in-the-wall shops that make super kit cars just don’t do it for me.
I’ve driven the 918 (as well as all manner of other supercars and Teslas) a few times, so yeah, I’m pretty sure I still would.
That is appallingly bad. And no way will that car come near 240 mph with that overly grotesque and haphazard aero. I would be embarrassed to be seen driving that.
20-25K overpriced.
How is this a surprise. Guy is a clueless schmuck.
I work at a Volvo dealership, and am VERY familiar with these cars.
You are using the dealer to help facilitate something that you could otherwise do all the work for. Is it that much of a shocker, or that unreasonable they’re going to try to make a few hundred bucks?
Front looks pretty good. Back is okay, but watered down and soft. Interior is a hot mess. Like, WTF.
As someone who is not a Honda/Acura guy, I find this a surprisingly easy NP.
One of the best colors ever created!
The problem with looking at it that way is that the people who buy these cars never have to make that choice. That kind of logic doesn’t apply to them because they already have a 4M, not 400K, house. They have a 100K daily, not exotic. Forget beaters, their golf cart was more than 5K. Their winter or kid’s ‘beater’ is…
