On paper, and in reality. I work for Audi, and have driven both cars plenty. The TT RS and RS3 are a ball in an urban setting. Hilarious levels of acceleration and dissection of traffic. But even they are quick enough that playing hard with them will get you into loads of trouble.

Lol, those numbers are way off on the R8. It’s a sub-3.0 0-60 car all day. Beyond 50mph, it runs off from a TT RS. Per Car&Driver, the R8 + is half a sec quicker to 60. And traps 12 mph higher in the 1/4. And it’s obvious.

Lol, the TT RS isn't half the car the R8 is.

Not even a Honda guy, but I wanted to vote NP for this thing. It’s one of my favorite FWD cars I’ve ever driven, and I still kick myself for not buying a black one w/ 94K miles on it for 6 grand several years ago.

That was nice writeup and all..........but you’re wrong.

Thank you for pointing this out. Not sure how he thought this was larger.....

Except this is no larger inside than a Golf.

3,500 lbs + 220 hp + $45K= ROFLMFAOGTFOH

But they probably won’t.

This car is nowhere near the departure in any aspect as the 996 was, especially from a styling standpoint. It will not be looked back upon as any radical departure. The 996 was comparatively revolutionary because Porsche was desperate to save money so lots of things were shared with the Boxster’s development. They

If you think that center console, infotainment screen, and dash plastics are even remotely on a level beginning to approach Germans, I have to question if you’ve been in any modern German car outside of a stripper compact. Other than some barcalounger chairs in the second row, I see no reason why this underpowered,

Just do what any reasonable person would do and don’t run a front plate. Problem solved.

So stop complaining and go buy a new GTI already.

I can’t believe that out of all people, Tom is unable to offer clarification on the Buyer’s Guide issue.

The problem is it will most likely be over 50K. At that price you could-

But they are so compromised at everything else I don’t think the AWD is much of a trump card. If you remove that one single factor, there are loads of other hatchbacks out there that are way sportier and more fun to drive and refined.

I think they have a great AWD system, but it is one of the few positive things they have going for them.

They definitely have excellent AWD systems, and I’ll give them credit for that.

Audi-level AWD? Perhaps. Honda reliability? Definitely not. So there we have 2 things that one of which a lot of people don’t really have the need for, and something that isn’t true.

Subaru definitely makes a great AWD system. I won’t take that away from them. And I’m not even saying there’s not other things about the company that aren’t appealing- safety, being ecologically friendly- but even that AWD system is a moot point for many buyers. If you live outside of the snow belt their AWD
