Though the WRX certainly isn’t fast in today’s autoscape, I think it’s pretty clear I was mostly referring to their stalwart mainstream line. That said, the WRX is crap in those other regards, as well- refinement, comfort, fit/finish, etc.

I hate Subaru and their products- and in many cases, their drivers- and this is just more ammo and merit to do so. I cannot for the life of me figure out how this brand became so successful and has such a loyal fanbase. Their vehicles are gutless, unrefined, out-of-date slugs that make Toyotas look and feel exciting…
“I have a brilliant idea! I realize why it’s completely unrealistic, and will even tell you as much, but it’s brilliant, and everyone should do it!!”
The standard TT most certainly does not match the performance offered by an M24oi. The BMW would obliterate it in any measure. The TT is dangerously close to some outright sportscars in pricing while not offering near the dynamics or hardware.
I can see the original Quattro link, honestly.
I think it looks great in person.
This is actually quite a cool idea, and I think the execution is great. If they gave this level of attention to detail to the TT all the time, and offered more interior options like this, as well unique exterior colors, it might be on it’s way to being work it’s price tag. This car should be a TT S as the base level…
Some things I’d like to point out regarding the first topic-
It’d be awesome if all the deluded nut jobs like yourself and biased commenters, and the people on the opposite end you so readily hate just did one another in already and let us reasonable ones enjoy an existence free from the toxicity and disease that you both spread.
Yes, I’m sorry, but I just do not find the B8/8.5 S4 a special enough of a car for such an undertaking.
This is clearly an incredibly well-done swap, and though I appreciate the effort and admire his dedication to obtaining his dream car. That said, I don’t think it is worth it, and there is no way I’d do this. Still very cool, and props to the builder.
Well, though I may to get to drive more in the meantime, you’ll be in a position to actually own one much sooner than I, so take consolation there, lol! I drive home from work in my Mk7 GTI. Good luck!
In addition to having a few acquaintances with high end cars and getting to do some MFR track/drive events, I work at a dealer that deals in a lot of next to new high-end luxury, sport, and super cars. In the last year I was fortunate enough to also drive in addition to the cars I mentioned in the previous post- M4…
On a track? No. On real roads? Yes. Every single one of those you mentioned. Along with the AMG GT, F Type R/SVR, the aforementioned ZL1, GT350 911 GTS, Cayman GT4 and others. Have you?
I couldn’t fathom spending anywhere near 150K on one of these. Forget the interior, it doesn’t even begin to approach the tactility, finesse, control feel/precision, refinement levels and approachability of other options for the same or similar money.
Subaru sucks. Their cars are a joke. Come at me.
That’s a fair enough point. I bought my GTI w/ a DSG (auto) because I live in the city and I actually think it suits the car better than the manual. But I still love manuals, and just recently bought one.
Looks like most of these people just need to go pick up a GTI.
Right. I was going through them and was like, ‘GTI’, ‘GTI’, ‘GTI could prolly work’, ‘definitely GTI’.
Yeah, you kinda blew your entire statement with that first part. You clearly literally don’t know what you are missing out on.
