I recently spent some time driving an 18 S63 Coupe, and have to say, that car is just staggeringly good in every measure. An interior only the very best Bentleys can match, all the tech you could want, sensational audio system, all-day comfort, and blistering, easy performance. Car is an absolute powerhouse, and would

That sure seemed like a lot of worthless drivel that had precious little to do with actual space ‘insert-whatever-word-is-acceptable-here’ (since ‘exploration’ is clearly evil).

Right. This read more like a piece from a social justice warrior than a scientist.

Not going to knock this car until I drive it, but I will say that perhaps we shouldn’t get carried away.

Voted with money and bought a 2016 GTI SE. Just a few months from the end of my 3 yr lease, and my only regret is that I can’t keep it and buy the sports car that I want to next summer.

So it looks like the takeaway from the comments section is that we can all agree that it’s unfair for them to try to make a profit when selling you a car, but if they take your 6-figure car for a needless, reckless joyride, it’s all good!!

I’ve been on here for several years, just don’t post a ton.

I’ve driven literally every variant of both cars, and off the track, no, they don’t feel meaningfully faster. And certainly not even remotely near as dynamically sharp as a Cayman, GT350, Corvette, etc, etc.

I legit LOL’d. Loud.

Though I think the design of the car would work quite fine on a 4dr, if they aren’t going to at least continue to offer the 2dr as an option, just kill it.

You mean a bunch oflifestyle writers who have probably next to no proper experience with high powered cars managed to wreck an 800hp RWD car?

All the stars.

They make agricultural feeling, cheap, dated, bland, soulless, slow, CVT-droning board room-designed cars with just average reliability.

I’ve always loved TVR’s from this era, but I absolutely adore the Sagaris.

The partnership will embrace combustion technology as well......”

So it’s just kinda okay?

I’ve driven practically every iteration of Mini, and cross shopped it before buying my GTI. We’ll agree to disagree.

The MINI might have an edge in personality, but in playfulness? Don’t know that I’d go that far. Anyway, if you think a bit more character in what is still a small FWD hatchback is worth an extra 10 grand, knock yourself out.

MINI has lost their ever-loving minds. Have they like, not heard of a Golf GTI or R?

How? It’s inferior in nearly every measure.
