Yeah, a GTI would difficult to live with a rear-facing child seat or as a primary family vehicle. Both of my kids are just in boosters, so I can get away with it.

I can understand the power issue, though if you move to the Alltrack, you not only get AWD, but the DSG in place of the 6AT. Well, there you have it. You signed a ton of documents without having any idea what you signed. The F&I was clearly in the wrong, and an absolute sleazeball, but nothing on those docs was valid until you signed them.
