I feel this. I did a short stint at game company back in 08. Like a month or so into the job is when the economy took a nose dive. It also didn't help that we were made to think we were hired on by the company until the last day of our two weeks of training when they were like, oh, yeah you are all contract.

Y'all need Jesus.

If anyone didn't see this coming then they live in a land of optimism and kindness and I rather envy them for their sunny outlook on life.

Yeah lets also ignore how offensive it is, you can obviously change your race but what he is doing is basically yellow face.

GOD DAMMIT.

THIS IS WHAT I WANTED THE ENTIRE TIME FROM THE THESE SO CALLED NEXT GEN GAMES!!!!!!

So many embargoes. But yes, Tina day. Tina day requires cookie sacrifices.

What is this? Tina day?

And yet you still took the time to click on the article about something that you hate to express your hatred.

At the very least, they've nailed the box art. So much detail in there, and the dragon in the negative space is a fantastic touch. I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. Third time lucky, right? (Yep, I wasn't a big fan of Origins)

Awesome job perpetuating the "us versus them" bullshit. Those people that would love a safe space are not some "Other" that is going to take away your precious toys. We're gamers just like you. We just want a space where we don't have to hear bullshit like this.

All of the comments below this article are fucking despicable and highlight the very need for a safe space. I fucking hate gamer culture if these comments represent it in any capacity.

There's something...off about this story. Like we should be celebrating, but I definitely don't feel like celebrating.

Collect 100% of everything normally in a world record time then i'll be impressed. Glitch runs are bullshit.

Can I just say again, "more articles like this" please?

I understand that there are slow news days, but I appreciate the articles that dive into certain aspects of the gaming culture, as opposed to the daily "Twitch Plays Pokemon" fodder.

what to look forward to upon completing a good game that you put years of work into: getting layed off

Just once, I want to see a "we laid off a bunch of people at our studio... and helped them set up a brand new studio, while we hired a huge batch of new talent to train in the ways of great game making! While we're sad to see our friends go, they've got a great foundation to build more games. Our mission, as always,

My boyfriend and I don't agree on our answers to all of these questions but you know what, we're going to make it anyway. We're going to do it the same way our grandparents' generation did by just sucking it up and sticking together out of spite all the way though the lovey-dovey stage, into the annoyed stage, and
