I meant “out of Cleveland.” I need to bathe in more kitten blood. My error-free typing charm is wearing off.

Yeah, I know. I threw him in there because I blanked on John Waters’ name. I claimed elsewhere in this thread that I am not from Baltimore. But I am from Edgewood, MD, which is where Zappa spent his early childhood. We even had the same 1st grade teacher, though decades apart. It’s all we have.* Don’t take this from

It’s the hats.

And you claim Baltimoreans are touchy.

I thought the “gonorrhites” would be good, too, considering Baltimore was/is the STD capital of the US.

I’m not from Baltimore and I am not touchy. I’m just saying the man was a nomad and lived in various cities and attended two different colleges. For even Philadelphians to claim him as some sort of native son would be equally disingenuous. It’s a ridiculous argument on all sides. It’s a good team name and has as much,

Or maybe they STOPPED bathing in the blood of slaughtered puppies and children when they moved to of Cleveland.

No, if those were crows it would be a murder.

I would argue Poe has more connection to Baltimore than Richmond. He was born in Boston, but so what?

I mentioned Lakers first, but, hey, they do have Lakes in the general area so, there’s that. So I edited it out.

I wouldn’t call it little connection. He lived there for a few years, died there, is buried there, married his cousin who lived there, won his first accolades as a writer when he won a prize for MS Found in a Bottle.

I gave it the old grad school skim. First and last paragraph, first sentence of every other paragraph, and dip into the full graph only when it looks interesting.

If I were the editor I would have said, “A man beating a woman who is apparently...” It recognizes that what limited empirical evidence we have points a finger, while recognizing that the conclusion is superficial and contingent on further evidence.

What did FDR (allegedly) say about Samoza?

I have an honest question. Do you really have to use the word “alleged” in the headline? We have a video of the beating. He’s admitted and apologized for the beating. Can’t we just say the video is of him beating the woman?

Lets move on to another controversy. What will the NCAA sanctions be against Brooks for referring to himself as a “professional”?

Come to think of it, that stuff would make a great shiv in prison. I’ll have to remember that.

It’s not that I disagree with the with the sentiment, because while I never thought about ranking them any more than I have thought about ranking being disemboweled by a bear looking for honey versus being disemboweled by a boar looking for truffles, I don’t have an issue with your ranking.

Thanks!

I’m not a big white chocolate fan in general, so I haven’t tried them.
