I wouldn't be surprised to find out that he has some serious baggage related to his body/Hollywood standards. He's had to spend hours a day working out, for more than 10 years, to stay in the running for those crappy action movies he does. So I can totally understand him saying that.

I love that Angelica Pickles' mom is your example here. When I was a kid I was so impressed by her mom, with all her power suits and yelling at people in Japanese while working out on a treadmill. Not a super parent, but she sure looked cool.

My step-father's lesbian sister adopted a "crack baby" in the early 90s. She was never as big as the other kids her age, and she (understandably) had some issues, but all in all, she turned out just fine.

Gorgeous! I love the chic summer vacation look.

Cool, thanks for the info :)

Sorry, but insisting on calling someone a man when they identify as a woman, as she does, is ignorant. Not to mention just plain rude. That's not being kind or tolerant. Maybe you should read up on the subject. Otherwise, yeah, I'm going to call you a bigot, and be completely justified in that.

Bingo. There's no avoiding germs. We just have to live with them, so we might as well not freak out about it.

LOL that is kinda hilarious. To his credit, I bet doing weddings gets really boring after a while.

Proud of your ignorance and bigotry, eh?

Agreed 100%. I hate that he took on the project with zero knowledge of Star Trek. He has a total lack of respect for the fans, but even worse, he has no respect for the franchise itself. Star Trek is all about the things that make humanity great, it's about making a better future for all of us, and living up to our

At least he admits it? Doesn't do anything to relieve my heartbreak at what he's done to Star Trek, though. He took everything that Star Trek was supposed to be, and threw it in the trash.

Great idea, I love it!

Definitely. I think the issue is that the costume designers had to make the uniforms different in some way, but they didn't have the liberty to do anything really interesting. So they just look sloppy.

Inception is a great point. The Matrix would be another, for some those didn't come to mind earlier. As for Looper, District 9, and Source Code- all of which I LOVE - I wasn't aware they had made that much money on initial release. If so, that's cool. As for the others, I don't consider them to be brilliant science

I know :( Makes you want to just give him a hug, right?

Honestly, he seems so sad and mid life crisis-y in all the recent photos that I kinda buy it. He's only human, after all.

Wow. That looks like it could be a movie monster.

Can you think of any truly brilliant science fiction movie that was both a commercial and critical success when it was released? I can't. It's because of the bias in the movie industry against sci-fi, and it's so unfair! Cloud Atlas was robbed, but at least it's in good company - like Blade Runner, and Moon.

By "weird brother," do you mean the sister? Because that person is female now.

Okay, since you know about it, can you clear up a detail for me? WTF was up with the demon-like thing that kept appearing to Tom Hanks? I did not get that at all. Loved the film, but I had no idea what they were going for there, unless it was simply that he was mentally ill.
