Anytime. I hope you get the all-clear when you do test. Don't let the stress get to you, everything's going to be okay.

Do you know when your next period is supposed to start? Once you hit that date, you can test and be confident in the results. Some pregnancy tests say they can tell a week before the next period is supposed to start, but I would wait anyway.
In the same city! Lol, in that case, I'd say you should get to know the person who would be your adviser at each school, if you have enough time before you need to make a decision. Choose the one you get along with better, because that person will be so important to your career. A good adviser who gets you can make or…
If it helps- one of the smartest men I know, my history professor/undergrad adviser, had the same thing happen to him. He told me all about this years ago when I asked him for a reference letter. Being rejected made him really depressed for a while, but then he decided that he knew what he wanted to do and nothing…
Congratulations! I agree with Rosers2 that in general you want to go to the school that will give you the most money. Grad school is hard (LOL understatement!) and you do not want to add worrying about money to your to-do list while you're at it. Some schools will increase your funding after your first year there if…
I think this is great advice :)
Bingo. My mother was a "homemaker" for 20 years, through two failed marriages. She had her first of five daughters at age 19. She has zero job skills, and can't take care of herself. I moved out as soon as I turned 18, and now that I'm 25 she wonders why I'm not married with kids yet. No way in hell I'm winding up…
Exactly. It's just a matter of making it socially unacceptable. Then these groups of men can self-police. Hopefully.
I missed a flight once, because American Airlines was playing that shitty game where they're like, "Flight 7860 has been moved to Terminal D. No, make that H," when those terminals are on opposite ends of the airport. I freaked out and almost started crying because I was stuck in Chicago since it was a transfer, but…
Agreed. That's something my mother always taught us- if you see something like that going down, or if you think it's even a possibility, you have to do something. It's just your duty as a human being. All it would have taken was one of these little shits picking up the phone and calling the police or 911, but not one…
The answer to this question is a resounding No Duh. It's actually pretty interesting, though. Every society has their monsters, and the monster of the day is clearly related to current social pressures. Look at when zombies first entered pop culture- the 60s. It was a crazy, turbulent time. Another example would be…
I never got arrested, but I wouldn't want to risk lying about the drug use. I'm pretty sure they use a lie-detector, like the FBI. It's a standard part of any security screening :( I checked into it a few years ago, because I really do love foreign policy and I know I would ace the written test. But unless they've…
Thanks for the advice :)
Thanks for the advice :)
I would love to but I have a history of drug use - not a lot, I used to smoke while I was in college and I tried LSD. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't take me.
I have, and I would love to take the exam for it but I don't think they would take me. I made some unfortunate decisions when I was in college (read smoked a lot of pot and tried LSD) and I think they're pretty strict about that.
Congrats on the new job, and good luck with the move!
Yeah, I'm kicking myself now for not doing any internships while I was in school. I mean, realistically I don't see how I could have, since I was working two jobs the whole time, but I still feel like I should have tried harder. I do have knowledge of some languages already, though. I actually double majored in…
I'm trying to get an entry level job like that, but it is so hard! Maybe it's because of where I am (Ohio) but there aren't many openings, and they all seem to go to older people. Most of the job listings specify that applicants need 3-5 years of experience, and I have 0. I signed up with a temp agency and told them…
Thank you for the advice. As soon as I can, I'd like to take some online courses in business. I have crazy student loan debt so enrolling in school again would be impossible, but I know there are a lot of free resources online. Then maybe I'll look into an international recruiting agency. My best language is German,…
