wow, never seen it. It's like meeting someone who hasn't seen Star Wars. It's got a lot of war movie cliches, like some of the worst ones, but some of the scenes in that movie are so well done and truly memorable that it makes up for of it.

I think with most movies the distribution and marketing costs rival the production costs. I'm curious too if their actor pay is part of the production budget or something else. Even if you triple the 12 million it's still a good return though.

When I see the wolves it feels like they slowed down the footage to fake the weight of a larger wolf. But it's like they didn't film them at a higher frame rate (probably because it's just spliced out of the original plate) so it plays out in a kind of stuttered way. it's subtle but just enough to make them feel off.

I agree, the show did so much more with the buildup, with character development and overall themes that the ending wasn't as rewarding as I was expecting. I liked it, but there was some serious 'is that it?' going on.

I wouldn't call the ending exactly conventional. They 'got the bad guy', but after hinting at the bigger powers at work we never saw them come to justice in any way, shape, or form. It was a lesson in containing your expectations, which doesn't pack much of a punch like a lot of the rest of the show did.

It sounds like they're doing the Pym origin as flashbacks with Howard Stark, which I think is a great way to establish the character and how it fits into the universe without all of those 'where the hell was he during the Avengers' questions.

At least Ant Man's origin is a passing the mantel story though. We don't have to learn about the creation of the suit for an hour, instead it's seeing someone learn how to use it for an hour. Same difference I suppose

I loved Iron Man's and Captain America's origin, I'm glad they didn't reboot Hulk though and went for a 'trying to control his power' story instead, which is a kind of origin I guess. I think doing the passing the mantel thing in Ant Man is a brilliant idea since they're linking it back to Howard Stark in some way so

The timing didn't work out for Avengers 2 but I imagined a scene where Ant Man shrinks down and enters Ultron to try and disable or disarm him momentarily but he has to fight micro security bots or something inside or navigate his way through the circuitry. Against most other galactic threats like Thanos and the likes

The lab is still out on those 'Batman droppings" people keep finding too, so nothings been confirmed.

"Dawn of the Planet of the Justice" was too similar to another property so they just simplified it.

That'd be a fun little nod to the universe, if one of these solo films has an end credits thing where it shows Iron Man showing up after all the action is over saying 'you're a big boy, i thought you could handle it on your own'.

oh, boo hoo

i remember some Easter holiday thing when I was younger where I sat through that entire game. It took a good 3 hours to conquer every state and I was rewarded with a black screen that said 'congrats'. I felt pretty cheated I have to say

That's what I'm saying, there's a positive side to the apocolypse

just don't hold your breath for its release, there's no date yet

I know what you mean but arterial spray is a boring cliche. But I used to watch a lot of anime, where a geyser of blood shoots out of all wounds, scrapes and erections.

Gotta get rid of the savages somehow right?

after the swine flu, avian flu, SARS, influenza, etc pandemics how are we ever gonna bounce back. It's only sprinkling frogs at least so maybe it'll pass us by..
