I couldn't help but throw up the middle finger at my screen while I read that, I mean, when has Sony or any producer/director/actor ever really been true to the character? But either way, as much as I loved the likes of Spider-man 2099, or even the Batman Beyond series, or Xmen's Age of Apocolypse, I don't think

Star Wars wasn't a trilogy until the first one was a massive success, hence the addition of A New Hope, to differentiate it after the fact.

Man, you're really over-thinking this, which is fine, though I do disagree. If you follow your thought train there, after the events of Return of the Jedi, the Jedi have 'returned' and now it's time to re-establish the Jedi Order. The Order of the Jedi. I'd say it does exactly what you're claiming it's not doing.

Honestly, the comic book reading populace can't accept a Spider-man that isn't Peter Parker either. Which is why the clone saga was a fiasco, and the doc ock thing tanked so quickly, no matter how much Marvel insisted it was permanent.

I'd be inclined to agree with you if Miles was a unique property and not 'black spider-man'. I feel the same way about all the female iterations of batman/superman/spider-man/etc. And I've heard all the the arguments, and I'm sure the stories are good and I'm sure the characters are unique in their personalities and

First of all, Kraven is a great character that has absolutely no ties to Oscorp, so I totally would love to see a Kraven's Last Hunt movie.

Nuh uh! it's all about the cameos bro, name dropping, easter eggs, etc. NONE OF IT NEED TO MAKE SENSE OR EVER PAY OFF. Geez, have you ever even seen a movie before?

ahh.. you're no fun.

I agree.

That's totally what I thought too. I checked, and I guess that Spider-man cartoon that was on MTV back in 2002 was geared to follow the Raimi Spiderman film, and was made for Sony. So at the very least Sony has movie and TV rights, not sure about Fox, but to my knowledge there hasn't been a new X-men or Fantastic Four

If your watching remains hard for over 4 hours, be sure to consult a physician.

Handsome Pete smooths over all misunderstandings.

You'll miss him when he's gone, true believer!

Whaddya mean 'terrible actor'?? Just look at all this acting he's doing here!

Get on the trolley, old man, they kept making movies after Back to the Future ya know!

It's a hair splitting competition, trying to compare two directors who have such different styles and aesthetics. I think Affleck is a more competent directer when it comes to drama, although I thought The Town were just a bit dry in my opinion. Even Gone Baby Gone wasn't as memorable as I thought it would be, and

I know Avatar is going that route too.

I think it's more of an umbrella contract than it is one that specifically dictates which characters they can and can't use. Fox has rights over the X-men and any spin off that came from the X-men, anything 'mutant' really. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch happened to be members of the Avengers though, so they qualify
