I don't think they had a plan when Man of Steel came out, or even when they announced that Batman would be in the sequel. I think they were shooting in the dark with that announcement, trying to create interest. Seeing as how they fired half their pre-viz team for MoS 2 and pushed the release date back a year, I think

oh. so you're saying being straight is a choice??

DAAAAAAAAH. DAAAH DAAAAAAAAAAAH.

Finally broke down and started reading A Game of Thrones. I started the show first and I kind of have a 'first come, first serve' policy on that sort of thing, I didn't want to spoil things about the show by reading ahead and all. Figured they were far enough ahead that I could get started though, so far the show has

Venom most likely, but there were ramblings of a Sinister Six movie as well. Personally I'm on the fence. Spider-man was my bread and butter when I was younger, so I can get behind this expanded universe thing they're going for, and if one Marvel hero can handle this kind of exposure on his own it's ol' Spidey, but it

I'm not of the mind that Peter Jackson can do no wrong, so I can't say I agree with you. I haven't seen the second installment of The Hobbit yet, but the first one was too long for sure. It was the length of one of the Extended Editions for the Rings movies, which means the Hobbit's extended will be even longer.

That's kind of what I mean, SHIELD overlooked him because he was out of the game, or something. Then he trains up some young blood and has him join in The Avengers. I suspect it will be built into the continuity in some way, we'll see.

In Rango his 'over the top' characterization worked very well. But that's animation, so it lends itself to exaggeration. Beyond that, i had to go back to the 90's on his IMDb page before I found movies I like with him in it.

I hope it's built into the script and not simply over looked. My thought is that Pym was just too old to be of any help during the events of The Avengers, which will be why he trains his replacement. Or he just didn't know. I mean, if he's not in New York (not sure where he's based in the comics), by the time he hears

No yeah, you're right, it's all the other trash he's put out that discredits him. Lone Ranger is just the most recent.

The next time an Avatar film comes around, will moviegoers be as easily distracted by the visuals to overlook the really really REALLY crappy movie behind them?

Plants maybe, but not light bulbs. I mean, I guess they're marketing it as 'mood lighting', so not really the same thing in the end.
