I agree, the seasonal arcs are kind of hit-you-over-the-head with how much they'd hint at it and remind you of it

Well. It's up to the individual to find meaning in life, or meaning for life. It sounds like you set your gauge too wide, man.

By different version of her do you mean she's one of the scattered versions of her when she entered the Doctor's timeline at his grave? Cause that wouldn't explain why she didn't know the Doctor and couldn't remember that she was in the Dalek. Or why the her in the christmas special didn't know him. Unless it was like

It wouldn't hurt or ruin or spoil anything from the newer Capaldi run and they very much could co-exist without stepping on each other's toes. I'm just saying I understand his point. They'd almost be competing with one another. It'd be cool to see more McGann/Hurt short webisodes/TV specials though. I'd even be down

Yeah, but why should I give a shit about the cosmos? What's the point in discounting my own existence just because there's something bigger than me? I mean, it's something that I'm a part of anyway, made from the same material, I just have the lucky fortune of being aware of it, and I think that's pretty sweet.

I agree about the reboots specifically, but any time someone tries to make up something new and original people shit on it for copying from a list of other things. Star Wars was a completely new, genre starting film, and people shit on it for copying the bible and Homer and everything else they could think of. Avatar

slave labor?

The Rankin/Bass Gollum was way sweeter too. That design is what made me fall in love with the character, even though I didn't understand the riddle sequence at all when I was younger.

I'd argue that it's because everything dies that our ego is all the more important and special.

Considering Moffat basically out and said he didn't know what to do with the show without Smith, that'd be nice to bring in a different writing staff. Smith seemed like he was drawing inspiration from Tennent (only a bit less dramatic), and Tennent was very much just a more realized version of Eccleston. I know Moffat

The only thing I don't really like about the Sun spoiler is the bit about Clara hanging around the Tardis for 300 years. It'd be better if they showed her getting stuck in the Dalek that she was in on the first episode of this season. She disappears somehow and the Doctor looks for her for 300 years only to find out

I'm not sure what all the general Moffat hate is about here on io9, but I do agree with him that we shouldn't be following two doctors, or rather, The Doctor at two different points in his life at the same time. I'm sure one day there will be a McGann/Hurt Time War saga of some kind, though I wouldn't want there to

what do you call a blind dinosaur?

I hope not, Venom was never cool on his own.

Is the introduction of the War Doctor the first time they've ever shown a doctor who's aged? Or rather, had him aging be a part of the plot? I like the idea of giving Matt Smith's doctor another few hundred years cause Tennent had, what, 3 before he regenerated. I mean, sure, there could have been loads of time that

I was hoping Alison Brie would play my bride at our wedding, then my wife for the rest of my life. It's the role of a lifetime for her, really. Someone just needs to convince the execs.

I liked it better my second time through. It wasn't as novel a story as Coaraline, and it was a bit too preachy for my tastes, but it still worked good for me.

Having just heard about it today, I'm now a fan of the James Bond Time Lord theory.

Well, "the tipping point" commonly refers to the point at which the system can't be reversed. The poles are heating up, which melts old ground cover, exposing permafrost that releases methane which speeds up the heating process, exposing more, releasing more, etc. That's my understanding of the arctic. It's like not

Well, Tangled is 3 years old by now, so yeah, wouldn't expect to see many of them on Halloween.
