Actually I meant about the last line you said, about a vacation most people can't afford. And it wasn't meant to be an insult or anything.

You sound bitter. I'm not arguing that Burning Man is the best thing ever and everyone should talk for hours all of the time about their experience. My original point was that the pictures get old and look the same because they can't fully convey what it's like to actually had been there. This conversation has been

I've got no problem with any of that. I was just trying to make my Monday go by faster is all. It's honestly not an event I see myself really getting into, I can just see it being a pretty unforgettable time for a lot of reasons.

Your kid would cry and disrupt everything.

There's no two ways about it, dude, you're on the outside looking in. You're not gonna get it unless you go and you wouldn't be bored of hearing about Burning Man if you had your own stories about it to tell.

I mean.. if you're interested enough in the event to look at slideshows every year then just go to the thing. I'll bet you'll see the images differently.

I think you missed my point. When you attend a large scale event, whether it's a concert or whatever, what makes it worth attending is the experience of being there. The pictures for Burning Man posted here aren't too revealing of what it's really like to experience the event, it's just stuff that he saw. But you're

That's like saying there's no point in seeing a band live because you own all their CDs. I've never been to Burning Man, but I'm assuming the biggest takeaway is the experience itself, not the pictures you took.

Time was that the way to learn a technical skill was by apprenticing under a master craftsmen. Sometimes I wish I had the opportunity to learn that way, but it is what it is at this point I guess. College is a for-profit business.

I disagree. I went to school to learn animation and since it was a bachelors degree I had to take a bunch of general education classes. A lot of it was super basic, like, glorified high school education stuff, but I did learn a lot from them and feel like it broadened my interests where education is concerned.

3 would likely set up a couple other bad guys, leaving the Sinister 6 story for part 4.

I can't say anything changed, I was just able to suspend any preconceptions I have for her while I watched that movie. She was good in it, and I think she'll be good in Gravity.

I had a similar distaste for her until I saw Blind Side, so for me at least, her long career of terrible movies were pretty well forgotten while I watched that movie. I'd assume if you really get into Gravity you'll forget about it too.

I'd have to hold my twin down and shave his head or something so I don't get into one of those "I'm not the copy, he's the copy""no, he's the copy" type situation. ...then I'd finger-cuff my girlfriend. Then Highlander the bastard so there's no further competition.

I'd like want to kick my 18 year old self's ass for being a little bitch all those years and liking things that I now find lame.

Sometimes I wonder how many 'rumors' are perpetrated by studio heads just to see how well received it is. Then based on the reactions they start planning things.

It's always a pleasure meeting a man-hating woman.

Now playing

"We're miners on the Moon, we carry round balloons..."

I'm not super interested in the SpaceShipTwo. I was initially, and even if you ignore the fact that it's a service offered exclusively to the rich, it's only like a two hour flight into low earth orbit. And the very edge of low earth orbit at that, just enough to offer the sensation of weightlessness.

To be fair, NASA wasn't founded with the intention to do commercial space flights. Being that their publicly funded, I don't think they should anyway.
