How about you eat my ass AV Club?

Same here re: finding trainers boring. I put lots of hours in on the trainer in the wintertime, probably a couple hundred, but it never gets more exciting. I’ll switch it up between doing Peloton rides (minus the shite form) and riding while watching a movie on my tablet. That’s about the only way I can manage that

The Peloton commercials always crack me up.... all those people with questionable form, spinning so fast they are bouncing on the saddle.

Spinervals! Now that’s a word I haven’t heard in 20 years…

Cyclist here who logs hundreds of hours every winter on her trainer setup in the basement. There’s so much more that goes into this that the video and post could have touched on. Some thoughts on this video and on cycling with a trainer in general:

When I was doing consulting in the early 00's - one of the more interesting jobs was for a client who was a competitive cyclist and who asked me to install a link between his indoor trainer-bike to a laptop and output to a CRT (was like a slower early USB and an S Video breakout box at the time).

Just FYI, the bike already has a “water bottle holder” on it. Not all bikes do but I gotta think most do (including the one in the video).

My anecdotal word of caution: if your prescription corrects for astigmatism, you might not get a working pair of glasses. I ordered from GlassesUSA with a brand new prescription and received a pair of glasses that I couldn’t wear for more than 3 seconds without nausea. When I contacted them about it, they basically

In you list of steps, should step 1 have the web address of where you can access the chatbot?

This is completely inaccurate. Many of these apps have expanded their limits to accommodate the pandemic. Additionally, many don’t support all platforms mentioned. The obvious would be Apple FaceTime listing MacOS, Windows, iOS, and Android. Also, considering the Zoom disaster extra columns indicating security would

Unless I am mistaken all you are verifying with your instructions in the article are that the device driver software on your computer is signed and NOT the firmware of the device itself. Often times the device drivers for generic devices (like mice and thumb drives) are produced by Microsoft so yea they will show as

Same here. Keep a large one in each of my Rifle cases to keep things dry in there as well.

What a surprise. A Lifehacker grammar article I completely disagree with. With which I completely disagree. I mean who is this article for? For WHOM is this article? Damnit.

What do you call the growing population on the opposite end who willingly toss out the rule book and chalk up all horrible writing under the guise of it adapting and growing? I’m all for not being overly strict with the rules (ie. I intentionally say stupid things such as “going to get your hair did”) but I’m also

There’s still no such thing as try AND. It’s TO. Or HONE in. It’s HOME. So many don’t know the difference between BETWEEN and AMONG. Or FURTHER and FARTHER. That includes English profs and attorneys. If that mkes me a syntax snob, so be it.

You realize this is for snail mail, right?
