I have a DoD retiree CAC card and it used to work at TSA checkpoints, but last August when I tried it, they denied it because it didn’t have the hologram or something the red scanner needs to see (at least that’s what the TSA agent said)....it was issued in Feb 19 and is good until Feb 2027 (not valid forever)
