I don't think rape jokes are always horrible no matter what. I can imagine joking with my friends and calling some place the rape room because it looks like some place you'd get raped. My old license photo showed me with black hair, yet I never had any problem being identified when I later had blonde hair. And I've worn makeup in all of my license photos and never had any issue getting identified when I wasn't wearing any.
