FOCUS!

In the Oblivion article, I'm sure Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski said "Omega Man" and not "Mega Man" when discussing lone men wandering post-apocalyptic worlds movies ;-)

I really liked Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies- the third one was a mess, but still, as a whole he did a great job- but my biggest complaint about them is TOO MANY FUNERALS. I know there's usually a death at the beginning of most superheroes' stories, but these movies are supposed to be escapism. You should leave the

You are my friend now.

Some of the best parts of the original are the things Seth Brundle says about the insect world- it's savageness, etc.- and some of the insect moments, like the way they eat, seen above.

Yes, but if you don't HAVE to work months on something to make it 90% as good, you don't. I'm sorry, it was just a jacket.

I hope you're joking, and not really being this short-sighted.

A copy of a thing is not a thing. That is a fact. This is not an esoteric or metaphysical question at all, whether you're talking about people or objects.

It was a quickly chosen work. Overcharging? Price gouging?

Mongul and Thanos have a sense of humor, but I identify with the sourpuss ;-)

That was the first episode of Doctor Who I ever saw, back in the Seventies, and I've been hooked ever since. That robot was terrible- it didn't look too bad, except when the poor guy in it tried to make it move. It just jiggled and leaned into The Doctor's general direction.

"Even if I thought that uploads will only be copies"

Thanos may have come first in the movies, but Kirby's Darkseid is the original. Apocalypse, Mogul, Darth Vader... they're all just wannabees.

Yeah, this is the first I'm hearing about it. Wow.

Probably.

But seriously- it should take a YEAR to make? There are a LOT of cool off-the-wrack coats out there.

That would have been cool! GET ME THOSE PUPPIES!!!

Clearly I know that movie tickets are not different for each movie, depending on their budgets. If they were, I would have had nothing to comment on. I'm saying it would be nice if there was a closer correlation, because the price for watching a movie just once is ridiculous, and should be closer to what you pay to

Come on- four months? No way. How about they spend four months designing an engine room that isn't a brewery? Or a bridge that doesn't have price scanners everywhere? Or figure out the scale of the new Enterprise? I don't think they spent four WEEKS on any visual element of that last movie.

It means if you have an opinion about how something is done, but you have proven you can't do it better, and quite likely don't even know HOW it can be done better, then maybe one should just shut up. I do have a degree in Film & Video. But that shouldn't really mean anything.
