He clearly loves sci fi, and that's fine. He likes to talk about the FAKE science in the shows and how cool he thinks it is, and that's ok. But doing all these sound bites, with his scientific credentials spelled out under his talking head, lending credence to things that common people, sci fi fans, and movie and tv

My point was that Fringe is hardly science fiction, let alone hard sci fi, which would mean it makes sure to accurately depict real science. Like a space movie that doesn't use warp drive or artificial (non-spinning) gravity generators, because those things MIGHT exist in the future, but we don't really know how they

I didn't say time travel was impossible. I said, even if it is possible, CHANGING HISTORY via time travel is impossible. Not implausible, IMPOSSIBLE. It has nothing to do with physics. It has to do with reality, cause and effect, the sequence of events.

I don't pretend to completely understand it, but it isn't a real evidence based theory. If every possible outcome of every quantum particle existed at the same time, what are the odds that any other universe would resemble anything even close to our own? If you randomly scrambled EVERY particle in our universe, do you

See people, THAT'S how you make a joke about rape ok.

Welcome, Rob! I gave up Topless Robot in 2010 when I got laid off from my day job and started my webcomic. Glad to see you here! So long as you put up with me taking every opportunity possible to bash Abrams Trek, we will get along fine!

This was the one correct response to this post.

I would love to see as much of the original cast back in Star Wars as possible. It would be great to see Peter Mayhew's name in the credits- especially after all these decades of seeing him sitting behind convention tables signing autographs, And if he needs a stunt-double for all the running around scenes (he's 68),

"seconds before loosing [sic] her tree rape virginity..."

I love that these are classic TOS. They're fun, and the colors are great, but he should know Trekkies are obsessed with detail, and the insignia and equipment are all way off model.

Steve Jobs was 11 when Star Trek debuted.

Yeah, it's true. It's so different now. It was similar to (but not as difficult as) being gay. You tried to only let your geek out around other geeks, otherwise you would be ridiculed for it. Now every other person is into comics, computers, Anime, whatever.

There's definitely Timm in there, but I think Bill has developed his own great style.

I was wondering if yours was earlier. Been seeing Canucks posting turkey pics already.

I turned 49 two days ago (funny story- until midnight, I thought it was 50. Duh!) I get to call most of you people on the internets "baby _____".

Wow- just this morning I was going to post asking how everyone else felt about that show, and should I start watching it. Guess not!

No way young lady! I grew up in the decade between TOS and ST:TMP. It was hard times, let me tell you- only the original 79 episodes, re-running every night, over and over. That show was cancelled, and the other 3 series and 6 movies were great (mostly great), but they are not The Original Series. The other series got

I'll give you that. Just that.
