Well... they need to make a living, so we can get our free content. It's annoying, but I it's worth it.

I sound hostile on this subject all the time. I am actually, though my hostility is directed at the dumbing down of something I love, and not at anyone on this blog.

People who liked that movie always say it "reinvigorated the franchise". So far that is unproven. It's spawned one sequel. We don't know yet if it's any good or if the series will continue. It's gained some new fans. So what? If you're fans of something called Star Trek that's missing the soul of Star Trek, the thing

When I asked "why would Abrams do this?" my question and answers were speculation, based on Abrams' record.

I'd like to get my hands on some of these- Tom Baker, Jon Pertwee (no Sara Jane?!?), but Fine Clonier's Tardis graphics look better.

Why would Abrams do this?

I had a pet tarantula in high school. Once I gave it an earthworm. I never saw it move so fast! It gobbled it up and pooped it out. It was mind boggling.

Then he'll just need to put some frickin' laser beams on the wings, and he will be a winged avenger!

If I saw this in a movie- James Bond or something- I would say it looks cool, but something like that couldn't really work like that. Thos tiny wings couldn't really lift a person. Could they?

Do not take advice on anything from Amy Pond. She is not a real Doctor.

Oh, I wasn't even thinking of that one, which you see almost every day here, and it's NEVER warranted, I don't care how much you hate Jar Jar.

Love the woman exec's 80's look, with the retro-retro 40's hair and shoulderpad jacket.

Ah, collex- you are becoming my arch-nemesis.

Back to the Future is a comedy first, not science fiction. I hate history-changing-time-travel in sci fi because it's so scientifically and logically ridiculous, but BTTF had it's own rules, explained them really well, then made them work very logically within the story. Those movies are brilliant, and certainly worth

Just because the hacks that write the Transformers movies made a crap aliens vs.- movie doesn't mean a genuinely visionary director like Sonnenfeld can't make a great one.

I think what she's saying is Abrams has made the future more "accessible to the present" by making it look and feel as much like the present as possible, instead of looking like the future or strange, new worlds. It's like the only futuristic thing in it is the Enterprise, and the bridge looks like the storage room of

I hope they honor the old 12 regeneration rule, though it's hard to believe they will. If they skip it, I hope the way they do will be interesting and not just an excuse to have the Doctor cry and feel sorry for himself again.

Maniacal laugh...

You mean yours is better put, yes? Because it is, and I see I should have proofread mine.

I'm betting Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man would rather forget this ever happened. Nobody's returning Nagraj's calls.
