So this is what happened to the high feature Jetta?

@Blakkar:
I'm not sure if it is just my browser, but the image on the front page of the site seems oversized and is covered by the side bar thing. Otherwise, this is a cool new feature.
Good Point. Still got to wonder where the build quality is at in terms of the rest of it. I love these trucks but nothing would be worse than a ruined, cocktease knockoff
Do you have to look rifle around the hood to make sure all the parts are there before delivery of the vehicle is completed? Otherwise you could have the all to frequent, "They forgot the water pump again, call them up and have them bring one out"
This is COTD material
It's cheap, but it only gets a Chinese sourced 4cyl not the mighty 4.0L.
@Death By Cornbread: At your local Audi dealer.
Secure-Foam from the self-driving car from Demolition Man. Essentially some sweet styro airbags that fill the car like a "cannoli". This movie came out in 1993 and predicted flawlessly Beige Bites Back.
@Franken-Subie: Subaru of N.A. stepped up and has offered to replace the car. It obviously had some issues from the factory that were serious enough to warrant this.
@DrOtto: That's good to hear. As much as we bemoan some of the modern technology, watching this does make it seem somewhat worth it.
@jd: That's a valid point on an older car. I drive an old car that's hit everything but the lotto (hence the name franken subie - only original body panel the roof, only panel I've been at fault at is the bumper) . The bigger issue is ratttles, the dash being chewed up, and the chance that they do screw up the…
@MadisonSuicide: Ha. Good point. Judging by the (lack of) cotomer sevis they've received from the dealer, I wouldn't be surprised if they drove it right into the showroom!
@Dustin Dunkin: The dealer hasn't fixed the car yet. Their beef is that the car has under 100 miles on it and this is going on. They've owned it for 6 days and it's been in the shop for 4 of them thus far. Their mechanic friend owns a salvage yard and repair center, specializing in refurbishing cars that are 1-3 years…
@Jo Borras: Agreed. My family is in a similar situation. My mother is about to dress up in an Lemon costume and stand in front of a dealership, youtube videos, website, etc. I just posted on here the entire story, but my folks bought a new car and within a day of buying it the airbag light went off. They've had the…
Jalopnik often runs stories like this. I never thought I'd be a person going to the online community needing help with a matter like this.
@ThnderbltDoherty: I certainly like my car b/c it's quirky, but what I appreciate most is that it's a sub 20k car that handles well, isn't terribly underpowered and kind of sporty(2.5RS w/ 5spd) and has AWD, which was a must for me when I was traveling around northern New England all winter long. When it comes time…
@mipakr: We have had 4 in my family and are about to purchase a 5th. When my parents bought their first OB, we were looking at A4/A6 Avants and the Audi dealer said, "These are great cars. The AWD is as good as Subaru's!" It convinced my mom to get the OB and take the 10k savings and go on a nice vacation.

@ThnderbltDoherty: I love my '04 Impreza and that fact that it's quirky. But I'd rather something bland than the current generation Impreza as long as it stays core subaru in terms of driving dymanics.
