@frigg: I'm not sure. I'm on the wrong side of that divide. All I can say for certain is that Apple TV is a bad deal for the networks compared to Hulu which is already a bad deal (if viewed in isolation) compared to conventional TV.

@Stevox: Watch it from the beginning if you do. Although every episode works by itself, there are broader arcs which should be taken in context.

The distribution costs are covered by the small portion content providers give up to Hulu. My numbers were hypothetical. I'm not involved with that side of the business, and if I was I probably couldn't disclose exact figures anyway.

The issue is that Apple is taking a very large slice of that $0.99 pie.
