I take it the metro in D.C. is actually reliable to the point where this could be useful? In L.A. they have the "Next bus arriving in ## minutes" LED displays at a lot of stops. I have yet to see one be even close to accurate...

@wjbean: Those are shotgun pellets fired individually (using compressed air I believe). They're unjacketed lead which is really soft. The "liquid" effect seen throughout the video is plastic deformation (non-reversible changes in shape) happening at a speed slow enough to see.
