Actually, yes! Fujifilm has a manufacturing facility in my adopted hometown, so when the blimp came to town on my birthday my Father and I were lucky enough to catch a ride up, and since we both are private pilots the crew walked us through the controls and then passed them over to us for a while once we were in the

I have nothing to add to this conversation outside of "Flying a blimp is by far the craziest/coolest thing I've ever gotten to do in my life".

If they actually have access to the resources to already have all of this designed and ready to go at the C7's launch, "Design engineer at Hennessey" just became my dream job.

Q: Do you have any volume predictions? A: Our target volume is 250,000 annually. We’ll be at that rate during the first year. Q: How will you distribute and sell the car ? A: We’re going to reveal that in 90 days.

Oh, I thought you were based out of Houston these days? Mah bad.

Calling Texas the south could be simultaneously considered an insult to Texas and the south :P

Protip: may not work at every school, but in undergrad I just didn't register my car with the campus police—originally because I was lazy, but after that because the fine print on the bottom of my first ticket said "if you are a visitor, this ticket is your parking pass".

Good night, sweet prince. So sad that I just can't make this car make sense right now or I'd be ordering one tomorrow. I hope the value drops a little bit before it begins skyrocketing so I can pick one up used in a year or two.

....and the side of the car is completely rebuilt as a widebody. Does that not count as an extensive modification anymore, Torch? :P

From my experience autocrossing my c5z, that's just what autocrossing a c5z looks like all the time no matter what the hell you do, haha.

I want to like it, but there's some kind of uncanny valley shit going on here that makes me want to burn it.

good points, could very will be. I wonder if multiple injectors per cylinder with multiple independent fuel systems will end up being required to make the DI switch. Could get the required volume with lower pressures/narrower pulse widths.

What you're not seeing is the secondary ERS generator between the two halves.

Minimum operable pulse width on a Bosch DI injector is 0.500ms. So theoretical max supported rpm would be 120,000, provided of course that met fueling requirements. I'll admit a wider pulse may be required to fuel this monster but we're talking a power of 10 off the theoretical max, I'd think that would be enough.

What I hate about all of them the most is that they disguise themselves as legitimate services to the customer when they're all just cash grabbing machines.

Both of those cars were initially derided for being unattractive, and both have aged marvelously. I'm expecting the vette will do the same.

It was always an option. The targa's been listed as available in glass, bare carbon, or body color from day 1 on the c7 website.

I did the same thing. Bought a 78 firebird out of high school and spent twice the money I would have on a vette making it as fast as one. So then I just also bought the vette haha. C5 z06s can be had in good shape for under 20k now, massive massive bang for the buck.

Matt's the best. Talking trash about your competitors doesn't make them look bad, it makes you look foolish. He understands this.

weeeeeeeeeeeellllllllll mine's not exactly stock, haha. The closest was 4th gens with TCS.
