The front brakes generally do most of the stopping and if the dyno roller is that heavy and spinning quickly and it has plenty of grip I can see it heating them up that fast if the guy stood on them. Plus it looks like both sides do the same thing.

Yeah I just watched again and you can see it looks like the other side is glowing orange as well when it zooms in on the wheel and the guy extinguishes the far side as well.

This “side loaded brakes” thing makes literally zero sense. In order for it to flex enough to cause THAT much drag the wheel bearing and hub would have had to been broken or this would happen anytime anybody gets a little sideways because the dyno is not “forcing” it to track straight any more than a road would be

Isn’t this generally considered a tactic of publishers when they know reviews are gonna be bad for any number of reasons? Seems like every time this comes up the game was not ready or was just not good/live up to hype.

I had a 2005 6 speed model. I bought it with 105k miles on it with a new engine put in under warranty at 100k and I have reason to believe it wasn’t needed because I knew the prior owner. We both think the dealer miss diagnosed a coil issue.

Kinda jealous. I use national through work and get all the same discounts/special treatment it sounds like but the airport location I use around where I live has a decent selection but rarely an awesome car. I’ve had a gla250 and X2, but those are about it.

Been in rentals for work since October. I have had some pretty good ones like a 3.0T Q50, VW Atlas v6, BMW X2, GLA250, SRT8 Charger, hell even the new Jetta’s arent bad.

I love mine. It’s a trail hawk and I have done some light off-roading with it in northern Michigan.

It’s dog shit slow compared to vehicles with more modern turbo 4 cylinders but I love my renegade trail hawk. Was great this past winter in Michigan, it’s surpisingly quiet and smooth going down the road and I have taken it to northern Michigan quite a few times for some service road/2 tracking and it’s been fun.

Eh, it’s probably because I am used to it from my ‘11 c63, but I don’t mind it. After having had the gla for 2 weeks now I am used to it and I feel like it might be safer/quicker when moving than poking a screen.

Yeah, I’ve been in rentals for the last 10months for work. All I ask is for CarPlay and it’s comfortable. Almost nothing else matters.

Maybe, I haven’t really looked at optioning it on anything. I am driving a gla250 rental right now and the lack of touch and using the dial on the center console is far less a problem than I first figured.

The endless list of base model rentals I’ve had that support CarPlay/android auto on base model radios without nav shows how pathetic this move is from bmw.

BMW is full of shit and this is ridiculous. It’s not even something that costs them any money, except for of course now managing who pays for the subscription and the supporting infrastructure.

I had an 05 V8 Touareg for 2 michigan winters and like 35k miles. Sold it in May of 2018 when I got my renegade because I needed better gas mileage.

That seems quite cheap for a 4 runner. I don’t know that I would trust a nissan, let alone a supercharged one, but I will admit I do not know much about the xterra. Given the option I would take the manual liberty over a ZJ grand cherokee. My dad has had like 3 ZJ’s and all I really remember is the constant 4.0 knock

I’ve probably spent about 10k miles in a rental Jetta since November. Rental spec so pretty much base and with the auto. The auto is decent, quick to shift but way too eager to up shift in traffic. Kinda the opposite as my daily (17 renegade trailhawk), it’s too smart and then having to rethink based on your inputs.

This is the first thing I thought of

I have had a Jetta rental with that 1.4T for quite a bit since Ocotober. Its a “nice” engine but leaves alot to be desired in something like a Jetta so I can’t imagine how terrible it would be in something like this.

Reading this brought up memories of my drive home when I bought my C63. I looked for quite a while and eventually I found MY car. 2011 Black P31 C63 with the carbon trim package. It was perfect and had about 50k miles on it. I live in mid-michigan and it was in baltimore and it was early February. It was only around
