@rlj676-Carbon Footprint Size - Clownshoe: Public perception being what it is, GM and Chrysler are coming out bad. Even if they do make it another decade, I don't think either will ever reach heights of their previous greatness. The majority of Americans would just assume see the American auto industry cease to exist.

The solution to this speed related incident is the same solution that will solve all the problems in this world. Everyone drive Ford Tempos! They're too slow to have any significant crashes, and their bumpers withstand accidents over twice the requirement set by law! They even forcibly put you into your safety belt,

I love sideways. Only when its in a big ass Chevy K2500 and there is mud being throw up by the rear wheels ten feet in the air. I'll take the roar of a 350 small block over the screech of whatever it is those imports are powered by. VTAK and fail, am I right?

@X3SoB: This, or the Camaro simply won't live up to the hype. Right now, that Camaro had better be a serious game changer or its going to look bad as a car.

That is seriously the most awesome thing I've seen this week. I want that monkey and its motorbike damn it!

I read "Iacocca Die" and I felt a pang of fear and sorrow in my chest.

...and there they shall stay for many a month, possibly year. Or perhaps GM will rent out a gigantic cargo ship, or maybe the Nurburgring or a similar track for storage.

I am saddened by the prospect of a Kia economy compact that sounds more appealing, or IS more appealing, then anything American automakers are offering.

A 1:87 scale 1984 Ford Tempo four door sedan, made in a series of limited run models called "Fresh Cherries" by Motor Max.

I didn't like GT-R, but I do like the idea of a GT-R that can haul around half my family. Thing is, Mercedes and BMW have offered rubber burning family wagons for a while now. Audi too.

So if they like the Volt test mule GM gets money? I like this idea. Make a jury of Jalopnik-thinking peoples to take samples of various product from the Detroit "Big" Three in order to decide whether or not the companies deserve bailouts. It will, hopefully, force Chevy and Dodge to start making acceptable cars. I'm

@Foozy Ploosh Room: She looked pretty abused. Mismatched body panels, 3/4 headlamps were in, more dents then MY truck..

That shade of blue is intense.

I've heard many a good thing about those old Toyota trucks, and equally many a bad thing about any new Toyota truck sold in the U.S. market. Where'd they go wrong, I wonder? Although the GMT400 generation of GM C/K trucks, and the Ford F-Series rule the Alaskan freeways, there is still a decent amount of elderly

@joneez is tired of the Pinto hate: Indeed, Pinto is like Tempo of the 1970s. My dad had one. 200,000 trouble-free miles apparently. The fundamental difference between Tempo and Pinto is Pinto's didn't have hundreds of computerized sensors and what-not to go bad every 100,000 miles.

@scottcom36 has Weekday DT's, Weekend OD's: There is something almost classy about the second generation two-doors. I just like the practicality of the four doors more, otherwise I'd have went after a Coupe.
