So, tell me, since when does kotaku even care about the fighting game community in the slightest? Oh wait, they don't. The only time they even acknowledge the existence of the esports scene is to exploit it for clicks.

The fact of the matter is that BioWare has taken a nosedive in quality and she seems to be in the thick of it all (DA2, SWTOR). This combined with her interview statements made her a prime target. She literally became the representation of everything wrong with EA/BioWare.
