You see in CAS, there is this thing called loitering... which means you need fuel to sit near the battle so you can react quickly... hence the range issues

with no stealth, shorter range, higher operating costs....

lets see more of that lap. The last turn exit looked pretty bad, and looked like he/she was not really in control of the car. One drift will not incure huge amounts of wrath.

Poor e46... Lets see the car!!!!

Well to be honest, in the path of a Mustang at a show is a pretty safe place to be....

Sry no roll cage or stability control, the OP comment still stands!!!

Pass travelers are held to a higher standard. These are employees or family of employees. All airlines have this in the pass program. United was 100% allowed to do this for these free passengers.

928 waterpump....

One of the most expensive cars of the time, now one of the cheapest cars from that time to buy... Why? waterpump is buried inside the engine, and is a weak spot.

Go back and read the articles from 2013, and the announcement of the “40" based on the 60. Its just hard to google it, as all the keywords match other terms that are more common.

Why else would they have sold a limited number of “40"s that where actually 60's and loose even more money on them??? ESP when they could not

Yup, based off of hybrid systems, they think it may be for crash test as there are less mechanical linkages that might go into the passenger compartment in a crash. Same reason the manual got nixed.

No it is a fact they have stipulations on x amount of cars under x price for their federal grants.

ANy comments on the hybrid derived brake by wire system? Most reviews comment on it being a little odd in day to day driving.

It appears so, the Model three is running behind hence those models existing, The model 3 should be out this year, and again my bet is a limited number of low cost cars with little or no margin sold to meet the requirments, then dropped. Everytime Tesla announces a car the price is magically low, then at release that

Part of the Federal funding that Tesla has received, required a certain number of cars sold under a certain price point. Hence when the car was annouced there was a much lower entry price point and the “40.” Tesla claimed that no one preordered them if you exclude the 4% of cars that where preordered that way, then

They never actually made that car, they took a 60 and software limited it then sold it at a lower price to hit the Mandated minimum of lower cost cars to keep thier federal funding. As soon as they hit the number they dropped it.

Its almost like they had a Mandate to keep Federal grants to sell that car, and as soon as they hit the minimum they dropped it. Its not like they have done this before. Oh wait yes they have....

I am seeing more alot German Cars with Red interiors recently... From C class mercedes to a BMW 3 Wagon.

I was laughed at by friends when I got my Blue with red leather e46m3... Now they all love it...

Now I need to go Silver with Blue interior to be different.... Another dead sexy vintage color scheme.

Great lack of nuance on the CA issue... Somewhat biased and misleading on what really happened there. Then again odd slanted anti-uber articles mixed with the Lyft advertising on the “Gawker” news sites is nothing new.
