Yeah, what you’re saying is literally in the article.

Just outta curiosity, have you actually read 1984? It’s just... not relevant to what you’re commenting on.

Echoing the other commenters, this looks fun as hell.

What the hell is that narration? Not only does the actor sound bored to tears, they’ve been directed to hit timings and intonations that you’d typically hear spoken by an in-game character, but then they say things like “semi-open world” and “legacy of Prince of Persia.”

AFAIK you’re both right: “serving” and “giving” came out of the drag ball culture of the 1980s in NYC, which was (at least in terms of driving the culture) primarily Black and Latin. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but I’m pretty sure you hear “it’s giving” a few times in the documentary Paris is Burning.

I hope anyone who balks at anti-cop rhetoric is paying attention. “I may not agree with the laws, but I will follow them” is EXACTLY why no minorities should trust the police. Officer Andy may be friendly today, he may even “care,” but if the law changes tomorrow, Officer Andy will beat your head in without a second

It’s definitely filtered through a cultural lens. Moving to the UK, it took me about a year to get comfortable with the word, and a much shorter time to strike it from my vocab once I moved back to the states.

I see one of these comments on literally every article where it could tangentially apply. Do you people just never take risks? Do you never ever take any action without reading the EULA or analyzing every single angle?

Wow, you need to calm the fuck down.

This, so much.

Losing coherence mid-sentence is literally the defining feature of Trump’s speaking “style.” The mental gymnastics on his followers are next-level.

One of the few celeb couples I can think of where I’m into both people equally.

The rights for trans people to fucking exist, as they have throughout history. The right to SAY THE WORD GAY. The right to teach the actual history of this racist fucking country.

I’m not a doctor, but I am the posterperson for ADHD, and the way you describe your inner monologue is both intensely relatable and (according to what I’ve been told by multiple doctors) an indicator of my own ADHD.

It is, and it’s what they spent almost the entire 6 years doing (or at least, that’s my hunch after more than a decade of programming).

Keep licking that boot

Oh honey, as if a single thing you say could ever hurt my feelings. Get a new hobby.

The first page is also a rephrasing of the “negative peace” part of Dr. King’s speech at Birmingham Jail.

Get’em Muck.

Oh no, the poor hypercapitalist asshat trying to become the Bob Iger of gaming make a sad face and go boooo.
