Shut down the comments, we’ve got a winner
Um, that sounds similar to where I grew up (it was crack instead of meth). Unless you’re doing some kind of “Gorillas in the Mist”-style observational journalism project, I hope you’re able to distance yourself from that area.
Not to mention that they also have multiple Availability Zones for each regional datacenter (on different power grids, according to their docs) to avoid a situation such as this.
This made my day.
I grew up idolizing Olajuwon (best center ever, fight me), but by the time I got to play juco ball Francis was our star. Not only is it admirable that he would open up like this, I’m glad he’s in a better place mentally.
From my perspective they certainly do.
I’m white and have definitely gotten plenty of “why do you have all those BLM signs?” (with a heavy implication that I’m merely a snowflake caving under immense white guilt) and the answer is always a flat “because they do.”
It seems your screen name functions similarly.…
You know, I didn’t think about that. I guess I’m so used to Lizzo being Lizzo and being proud of her body that your point didn’t even process.
I continue to be gobstruck at the stories that generate a Grey Surge. There is no world in which any take but “throw him to the wolves” is correct.
Also I love your screenname. That has no bearing here, but it’s what’s in my heart.
Oh my goddess: the skin tones in these images! This is a masterclass in how to light a spectrum of complexions in a way that complements natural beauty.
I wish I had something more grandiose to say after reading this delicious essay, but all I’ve really got now is a craving for psilocybin. I am honestly excited as hell to hear that you are excited for the future though, I’d like to rekindle that myself.
I’m glad your parents were able to provide that for you. That’s not in any way relevant to this conversation. I and the majority of others in my generation were raised with the certainty that choosing to go to college guaranteed us financial stability and income potential.
Alas, I have but one star to give.
Only thing keeping him from being a major crush of mine is that I’m 6'7". I mean, he’s hot as hell but that is simply not a workable visual.
Holy shit. Much admiration and sympathy.
Welcome to the ADHD tribe! I’ve helped some other people realize later in life, and it’s funny how each time, they realize they’ve already built up a circle of people who just so happen to have it too.
Shockingly (/s), I misread your original post a bit, as I missed the context of “reduction in petty crime policing as panacea.” I agree completely with your premise. Have a good one!
Uh I live in Portland, and your statement is ignoring a whole hell of a lot of context. For starters, the unceasing BLM protests, the inordinate response from agents of the state, and the frankly insane number of out-of-state Proud Boys and other rabble-rousers.
Co-signed. I love every single aspect of this car, though my favorite has to be the wheels/tires.
The millenial?
Hi there ScottyEnn, welcome to 2021. Things suck, but at least no one bitches about millenials anymore. Here’s your “how to hate Zoomers” pamphlet.
Ewwww, they rewrote Shadar Logoth!? And my insert character, Perrin (I’m 6'7" and big and always related to him), starts out by killing his wife instead of having to be cajoled into going.
Right, and if you’d bothered to pull your head from your ass, you’d find multiple testimonies from people who KNEW Daphne and were disgusted that Chapelle would use her name like that. The little fucking coward didn’t even show up at his “good friend” Daphne’s funeral.
