Couldn’t agree more. I wonder if this will lead to a more realistic, dramatic turn in game storytelling? I’m also having trouble identifying with or caring about fantasy stories and characters.

Eloquently said.

I’m bi, can I stay? Red really isn’t my color

Bwahahaha y’all made me spit water.

Thanks for putting me up on this artist. Apparently I need to train my ad algorithms better.

I know this is not the point, but “Candance” got me entirely. Thank you for that.

I regret that I have but one star to give. That was eloquent, apt, and fiery. Excellently put.

1994 (this is a silly thing, but it’s reminding me of games I need to revisit):

Super Metroid
Mega Man X
Donkey Kong Country
Earthbound
Doom 2
Final Fantasy 6
Sonic & Knuckles
System Shock

So many words spent without addressing the issue at hand, and a lovely inclusion of “people like you” to boot. All ensconced in erudition which clearly implies the inherent rightness of their position.

Hey cool self-righteous screed, bro!

This whole excerpt was physically uncomfortable for me to read.

And what are the odds that the dude just out for a damn jog was given any money to pay for therapy? This politician is a piece of shit, but I’m more worried about the psychological repercussions of this traumatic event on the ‘unnamed jogger.’

Welp, I was looking for some kind of explanation, and that seems pretty damn plausible. Mystery solved, haha.

Fuck Joss Whedon.

As a fellow ‘bad son’ (ADHD instead of bipolar, stepmom instead of mom, but similar gaslighting), thanks for having his back. That’s a uniquely shitty situation, and it can be really easy to feel isolated by it.

But that tan suit tho 👀

I could not agree more with either of your paragraphs. The company I’m about to move to is the first one I’ve ever been at where initiatives to hire women and BIPOC are more than empty words.

I spent years at a startup that was actually disruptive: there were only two companies in the market, each having been around since the early 20th century.

Amen! Also it’s a smaller problem, but I *think* it affects women the same way it does guys: apparently all us tall people are one size, and that size has no place in the average store. I’m 6'7" and 265, and likewise ditched brick and mortar clothing shopping a looong time ago.

Ah, concern trolling. Fun times.
