Dermot Corrigan has a great write up of the whole background behind this.

I met Darren Rovell tonight. Apparently he has "about 70 tweets all ready to go for Sunday". So, look forward to that, I guess?
I'll try again.
If you want to read almost 1,000 words on Spanish soccer, you'll be thrilled to know I have you covered!
Ok, I guess I'll go first.
Show your work.

Awesome comment. Were you having a stroke as you typed this?
LOLOLOLOL
So pumped for this weekend's Liverton - Toad & Ham derby.
The best way to meet people in a new city is to join a co-rec sports league. I started playing football and soccer with Zog Sports as soon as I moved to NYC, and met a bunch of guys that are still good friends, and a handful of nice ladies that found me mildly interesting. Do that.
The vast majority don't have mascots per se, but many do have recognizable nicknames (sometimes creatively based on their jersey color)
On it!
Oh god, Smash is amazing. My gf is from Norway, and her mom, knowing how addicted I am to Smash, sends us a few bags regularly. I can't tell you how many times I've blown through the entire bag in under 10 minutes, but I'm sure it's more than a dozen. Also, Drew, Norway is the fucking tits. Crazy expensive, yes, but…
They need a central midfielder who can be the link between defense and attack, you say? How fucking great would it've been if they'd bought Michael Bradley? Never would've happened, but still an underpants-tightening pipe dream.
The girlfriend and I just did these, a batch steamed per the recipe and another batch fried in peanut oil. I don't use hyperbole lightly, but this was the most delicious meal I've ever cooked. Thanks for the recipe.
What "sturdy oil" is best for frying these fuckers?
We're pretty decent - we went to the league final last year, which we lost. Good mix of former college players and solid rec heroes. As the slow, lanky goalkeeper, I am the weak link.
Do any of you want to join my full field soccer team? League starts in January, and it's outside - field is on the UES.
