Not sarcastic at all, you seem brilliant and I'm sold on whatever you're selling. You're probably a great kisser, too.

What's your twitter handle? I'd really like to follow for more awesome commentary.

Yeah, I fucked up the French numbers. I'll take your word on the others, because I got a B- in the only stat class I took in college.

The Netherlands destroyed themselves. It was a tough group, but they played like blind amputees.

Yeah, true, and Netherlands' performance in the last Euro certainly didn't inspire confidence. But I just think they're too talented to be written off as so widely inferior to Chile.

I know, and we've seen it plenty of times before (France in WC2002, France in WC2010, Netherlands in Euro2012, many others), but based solely on numbers - which is all this really is, without taking in account the absurd things that can happen - I don't really see how they came to some of these conclusions.

I'm no rocket surgeon, but I don't buy some of the numbers in the chart.

I watched the game in NYC with a buddy who was visiting from KC, and he was ecstatic. I went out there a few months ago for the USMNT game against Jamaica, and I was highly impressed by how thoroughly the fans (and there are many) know their soccer. Good on ya, Kansas City.

Also, there are sure to be more than a few shots of Don Garber tearing his hair out in the stands over the fact that the league didn't get the Portland-New York final they wanted.

Yeah, I know. But just... why the fuck not?

Grant Wahl said on twitter earlier that USMNT was "unlikely" to move camp, but I don't see why they wouldn't. They're willingly putting themselves at a disadvantage staying so far south.

You're right - first game in Natal, not Manaus, and they would return to base camp (wherever that is) after each game, so sort of

The USMNT will be based in Sao Paulo, which is a 4 hour flight from the site of the first game, Manaus. The second and third games will be played on the coast in Natal and Recife, both a 6 hour flight from Manaus, or a 3 hour flight from Sao Paolo. It's a lot of fucking travel.

Given all they travel they'll be doing between games, USMNT has to move its camp from Sao Paolo to somewhere further north, right? RIGHT?!

Greg Howard says USMNT probably won't win World Cup, USMNT becomes Vegas odds-on favorite to claim trophy.

That's so fucking stupid.

More like Tallaclassy!
