The biggest problem at the moment seems to be that they don't have any strikers to get behind the line. Not sure what VDB was thinking starting 6 midfielders, but it's clearly not working. I'd expect to see either Navas on the wing or Torres/Llorente up front to start the second half.
Ozil is still relatively young, and did fine at the last WC, but didn't particularly stand out. But he has become a star for Real Madrid in the past two seasons since moving to Spain.
Germany is, in many respects, the best team in the tournament. This is largely due to their immense depth at almost every position and an insanely strong midfield. I expect Ozil and/or Schweinstager to play big roles in setting up Gomez. They also have Manuel Neuer, who is possibly the best keeper in Europe at the…
I'd rather laugh at Robben, is that ok?
I'm not a Denmark fan by any means, but I really enjoy seeing Holland lose. Pretty entertaining game considering the score.
I'll bite. This Bulova is the watch I wear almost every day, and I love it. I also have my dad's old gold Rolex Cellini, which he gave me after college. But he's a rich old man, and I think I've only worn it three times, because a gold Rolex is a ridiculous thing for a 26 year old to wear. Still, it's a cool family…
I completely agree. If I were VDB, I'd start Llorente. He's had a killer year, and is so dangerous especially in the air.
I'm a fan of Spain, but I think Germany takes it home, and Ozil will star.
I read [goal.com] almost every day. They have a huge Barca/Messi bias which is annoying (I'm a Madrid fan). But they have really great global coverage, which is good because I like to keep tabs on La Liga, the A League, MLS, and the Tippeligaen, and it's very hard to get that all in one place elsewhere.
I fucking abhor excessive email signatures. In my opinion, it should be name, title, phone number. Full stop.
Word. Just yesterday, I emailed a client that we needed to "get thongs rolling on the contract" but because it was sent from my iPhone, I'm not a total fucking creep, just a dipshit with fat fingers.
Yeah, I mean I'm taking this list with a grain of salt, because they seem to believe that Juan Mata and David Silva are both more important to Spain than Xabi Alonso, which is just ridiculous.

Yeah, you're probably right, and the Bruins seem pretty confident (rightly so) in Rask as their next franchise keeper.
It's pretty clear that there's some crazy shit going on in Timmy's head. Namely, that he thinks at 38 years old, he can just go chill for a year and then come back? If he wants to retire, then retire.
Well, yeah. Jonathan Quick wouldn't be much good if you just put him between the pipes with figure skates and nothing else. But you can make the same argument against any player (i.e. Steve Stamkos only scores goals because he has a stick in his hands) - it just is more apparent with goalies because their equipment is…
I don't give a shit who wins this series, but he is just so entertaining to watch play. And bodes well for the future of Team USA hockey. The way he plays reminds me of Khabibulin when he was younger.
Jesus, I'm a fucking idiot.
