YES. Why did I even sit through that, let alone watch it several times?

He was also Standard in Drive! He has an amazing chameleon-like ability to play any race.
He was incredible in Suckerpunch. It was a shitty ass movie, but he played this horrible rapist and yet he was totally hot. He also did a great cover of "Love is the Drug" over the closing credits.
Psssh he has been my boyfriend since that terrible Madonna-directed movie WE.
Yeah, all I'm getting from this is that, sadly, Star Wars fans are apparently unable to think critically about the reality that this mother is facing. She has a daughter who is into Legos and Star Wars. When you were a kid, even if the internet had existed, wouldn't it be better to walk into a store, pick a badass…
No, I think she was being a parent looking for toys her daughter is interested in in their local toy stores. Star Wars isn't nostalgic, it's expertly marketed to the point that there have been new toys and collectibles since the movies came out 30 years ago. She's not "being lazy" for the Star Wars reference, she…
Doesn't this kind of miss the point? Yes, Leia is awesome and butt-kick-ey, but don't you think it's still problematic that 1) she's about the only major female character in Star Wars in the first place (except I guess that one other princess in those prequels that never happened, dammit), 2) she gets sexualized way…
The author LITERALLY said "I know if I search on the internet, I can find a few female minifigs that aren't quite as awful, but why can't I see them in a toy store?"
Based on what she said, it sounded like they went to some stores and that was all she found with Leia included. Not that there wasn't overall variety, just no variety available for her daughter to find a female Lego character that wasn't in a bikini. I mean, I don't care enough about Star Wars to track down every…
It is not slut shaming to complain about toxic images of sex or women. Images are not human beings. The reason slut-shaming is bad is because you're talking about human beings, not empty images.
Just because she happens to be a good character doesn't mean it's okay that the only image you can get of her for your child is the most sexualized possible image of her that exists within any of the films. Seriously, defend Leia, Leia is amazing. But don't defend selling the sex slave image of her to little girls.
It's not about Leia's role in the movie, it's about the way she's depicted as a Lego toy, which is not at all empowering.
There are feminist olds, believe it or not.
I'm with you. I yell at my tv "YOU DO IT YOU JACKASS, YOU COULD TOTALLY REACH IT WAY EASIER THAN LEE!" Even without the extender!
OMG. When she climbs on the unstable chair to clean their lighting fixture I always yell at my tv. BECAUSE MORTY IS TALL AND COULD PROBABLY REACH WITHOUT STANDING ON A RICKETY ASS CHAIR.
To be fair, there are often white people who live in latino areas, and who participate in the culture that you call latino culture. I used to know a white lebanese girl who lived in an area like that, and she talked like a boriquan and had that makeup and eyebrow thing going on. I think this website fails to…
Yes! I though one of the most awkward parts was that there was no audience to laugh or clap, etc. When I heard that it was going to be a live production, I assumed an audience and was disappointed...
"We should hang out soon!"
*heart melts*
It was a bit weird, but I assumed he hugged her because the character he voices in the movie is all about hugs.
that's funny when I was watching I projected that he felt bad for being sarcastic to her and it went over her head bc she's a child. I viewed the hug as apologetic for being a bit rude.
