20R is carbureted. An RE would be injected, but I don’t think there ever was an injected version in the USA. 22RE was the first injected version we got unless there was some obscure version sold somewhere in the states.

Was recently at my Subaru dealer getting some valve cover gaskets replaced, and chatted with one of the salesfolks for a bit. The outback market is NUTTY right now. 0 inventory, and most are sold immediately upon arrival, if not spoken for before arrival.

I don’t know the laws in each state, but I highly doubt any of them read: “The left lane is for passing only, unless you’re already doing the speed limit or higher, then please camp out in the left lane for as long as you’d like, ignoring all traffic around you.”
