This is actually a thing with a lot of US-car fans here in Germany. Either a Confederate flag or a “dream catcher” to signalize you totally dig the “American way of life” ... not really knowing what either of those symbolize.
Bonus points if they’re on a late 2nd or a 3rd gen. V6 Camaro/Firebird, along with a shag

That sounds awfully like a urban legend on the rise...

I’m right now picturing a stern looking nun shouting “Shame!” and jingling his little balls...

Ah, I must admit, I failed to describe my cooking method correctly. I normally use the “risotto” approach: put spaghetti in pan, cover with ~1 cm (very roughly 0,5") and cook until pasta is done, which normally is when all water is evaporated. Sometimes I might have to add a little water. So it is no wonder that I’m

Yup

“Go home and shave, you look like a frickin yeti!

Only problem I had with that way: Even non-stick pans were hard to clean afterwards. But the pasta was al dente and super creamy at the same time.

What was the trucker show with the Australian dude from the energizer commercials?

Sorry, but that prize was already gifen to another one...

...knock on the faux wood veneer on the dash...

It really is a lot of trouble. Opel was planning to release the Omega with the LS1, slightly detuned to 310 hp, in 2000. They too had to change the firewall, design new headers and auxilliary systems. The brochures were already printed when management pulled the plug on the project. The 4L60E transmission was to weak

The brands are owned in fact by the SAME company (to be precise SDF Group, which stands for [wait for it] SAME Deutz-Fahr). It started as Società Accomandita Motori Endotermici and the over the years acquired Lamborghini Trattori, Swiss Hürlimann and German Deutz-Fahr (which in itself came from the fusion of the

The rough surface is no problem if correctly seasoned. I’m using a cast iron griddle plate on my gas grill for grilling fish. It came as rough as any cast iron skillet but with regular use (can’t stress this enough) it got wonderfully non-stick. I never have to use the spatula “with force”, the fish un-sticks so much

Otherwise, why would they need such a large fuel tank located directly under the steering wheel?

This. You don’t want to be standing in the line of fire when this goes off. My E34 overheated due to a faulty fan coupling on a jam-packed autobahn. I waited for a quarter of an hour and thought that would be enough. I miracolously failed to get scalded (just ruined my shoes) but the radiator cap shot several meters

You don’t want to put a strain that requires three extensions on a ratchet. Sturdy as they may seem to be, their innards are quite delicate and only intended to bear the load one can muster with his/her arm. Do yourself and the ratchet a favor and use a rather solid connection, i.e. a slide.

It should be noted that normally press cars are already purpose-built, i.e. they are selected from the production line, stuffed with sound-dampening material and fine-tuned before being delivered to the shrimp eating journaille.

Great clip! But I got to object to the bit where the DKW Munga was described as “a copy of the US Jeep”. Sure, the Jeep was a important step in the evolution of 4WD cars and the name is often used as a generic term. Nevertheless, DKW (which was part of Auto Union) had their own experience in constructing off-road

This is also a phenomenon here in Germany. IMHO in the olden days, people were buying their cars for themselves from their hard-earned money, so they chose a color to their own personal liking (Orange was THE color here in the 70s). In addition, cars were kept longer and their worth was lower, when they were sold
