Good info! It would make sense that Russia is planning to sell ships that it can get out of the Caspian sea. I can’t see many countries buying them just to sail around the Caspian.

There is an international treaty to permit navies to use this passage, so US and other countries’ warships can also be found in the Caspian sea. Of course, this also means that the warships sail through the middle of Istanbul, so it’s not something they can do…
