Yes, one victory at the greatest race in the world against top-flight competition does disqualify it from being a failure.
5th at the 2012 Petit Le Mans, which would have been 3rd if they were allowed the same passes during SC periods as the cars they were racing with (due to not competing for points or championships). It was knocked off the circuit at Le Mans, which wasn’t the cars fault. I wouldn’t say it was a failure...
I believe the correct British term is “poxy hatchback”.
The A110 is tiny. To make it comply with safety regulations and fit 21st Century adults in it, it’s going to need to be a lot larger. And not rear-engined. It will need to be completely redesigned, which is pretty much what they’ve done. We can judge the looks when they show it to us.
A 911 fighter? The power (if 250bhp) will be less than a base model Cayman (and 100bhp less than a base 911 Carrera), and if they make it super-light to compensate they’ll have to forego luxury equipment and fittings, thus making it even less 911-like.
Yeah! Continental drift, baby!
Hi Rob. You read the edited version. The original said “Darkar”, not Dakar. Everything else was perfect, though.
Well, they didn’t ask either of them to pop in for an unnecessary pit stop near the end of the race, so I think they did pretty well...
Hey Tyler, I’m guessing you’ve seen this?:
“Darkar” rally? I dun’t thynk sew.
