Yup...New Orleans and the Cajuns were actually French Canadians that were apparently asked nicely to "leave" Canada....so they settled in southern US....whole story is longer, more complex, and more entertaining.

You are correct. =)
I do agree Mosport is a fantastic track...especially if you're on a bike and attacking it...you feel so much of the elevation change and off camber through the suspension of the bike. Sphincter tightening experience... The full Mosport course if the most exhausting track I have been on. Get home and crash after…
Ryan, what are you feeding you R1200GS to go that fast. I'm fast on my FZ1, but damn you're fast.... Super grippy tires too I assume? =P
How long ago have you last looked @ a Honda.
Since the early 90's they have been over 96 ft.lbs.
All the K series inline engines makes a min of 140ft/lbs.
The B series in the ITR made 130ft/lbs.
The V6's made over 240ft/lbs since 2003....
How much torque is enough torque? If it can break traction and all you get is tire squeal, axle hop, TC light flashing, it's really too much.
Doesn't need that much torque if HP is there and high up in the rev's. Infact too much torque is detrimental to a performance track car as it'll be constantly fighting for traction on accelerating out corners. Take a new GTI, turn off all electronics assists and drive it fast around a track. Now take a 1998 Integra…
Oddly enough I think you may be on to something. During the Toronto Indy, the Indy Lights (which were the former CART series cars) appear to be doing better lap times, or at least the racing was more entertaining. I think CARTs probably have more in common to F1 than the Indy chassis.
It what must be the most romantic video ever for Italian racing drivers, Riccardo Patrese took his wife out for a bit of a lap in a Honda Civic Type-R around Jerez. His wife's own choice quotes include:
Then they should add in the flagship tank of each manufacturer and have a go. Challengers, Leopards, or whatever else is out there. =) I'd pay to go see that live...lol.
Totally agree. Just recently got my paws on a 1998 ITR and it drives better than my 2010 MX5... I miss older simple lighter cars...
I believe it was rated well over 50mpg if you're easy on the throttle.
Here's a great documentary on turbo F1 engines
I don't see any problems with 4 cylinders. Look at what BMW managed to do 20+ years ago....
Here is something interesting bout old F1 Turbo cars from the 80's with Jackie Stewart commentating.
Who wants to bet this all started with "Dude! Watch this!!!"
For today's economy, the mighty versatile Honda Fit. Great on fuel, and seats that fold perfectly flat.
As this video is relatively short, it does not show how long the Volvo has been there. The bikers are over-taking, but not a huge speeds as they are probably concerned with over-taking at high speeds and being pulled over. 400 bikes overtaking will take a while even if they are passing @ 100miles per hour, which is…
The ATS is supposed to be the Europe beater of RWD sports sedans for GM. They f-ed it up with the Grand Am in Lansing...hope they don't repeat history.
Predominantly driver fault. Sound like he didn't rev-match a downshift. Bad idea on a wet road... You can hear the revs suddenly shoot up and the car go unstable. I'm betting it's a f-ed up rev match...
