I don’t get why cops will go to such lengths to make their cars not look like cop cars, then bitch and point guns at people when they don’t stop for them. In my area there have been numerous cases of people pulling others over in fake cop cars and robbing them, yet I still see unmarked cop cars pulling people over.

But dont think 1000s are useless. I put 74,000 miles on a CBR1000RR commuting year round. The beauty of it is you idle down the interstate in 6th, stay in 6th and roll throttle to pass. You dont have to run the bike at redline all the time.

Having been stopped by the CHP more times than I really care to admit, they're a very professional and courteous bunch, and good ambassadors for the state. If they want to hoon around small racetracks in Chargers, well, hell, that's not the worst use of my tax dollars by a long margin.
