There exists a mac version of Borderlands 1, but it isn't on Steam, only the App Store. Having bought the game on Steam, I can't play it on my Mac. Is there a fix coming (I've been holding my breath for two years...) and if not, can we expect a better situation with the Mac port of Borderlands 2?

A bit of a shameless plug but a week or so ago I did something similar:

While most other games don't work well at all on touch screens, Pokemon Silver (which I've been playing on my iPhone through [GBC.emu]) plays just fine, because the game boils down to either walking in one of four directions, or menu navigation. Action games or anything that requires even the slightest bit of finesse

So why is it that we still don't have an iPad game half as good as any 360 or PS3 game? Infinity Blade's great - but even that grew tedious after 30 minutes or so.

You go to NYU? XD

As a student of history - this is awesome. My curriculum stresses two of those incidents to an unhealthy degree, the Triangle Shirtwaist Company Fire and urban growth, characterized by the picture of the dead horse in every single one of my textbooks. Seeing themes from the Gilded age in BioShock will be one of

That didn't happen. The only update to the 3DS released thus far has done nothing to combat Slot-1 DS Flashcarts.

It's been confirmed, there's an option to disable the scaling when playing DS games - the touch screen's image is pushed towards the top of the bottom screen, and the top screen's is pushed towards the hinge. There are black bars horizontally and vertically, and I think it makes the game look hideous - but the option

For those who can't tell - this is actually groundbreaking news. Nintendo has put profuse effort into stopping flashcarts, and they did succeed. In case you didn't know, upon the 3DS' release all flashcarts had been blocked, hackers were back to square one, but within hours of its release we now have a way of

Ddi you say... Strike at Karkand?

@BoltBoy: That. Is what she said.

It's hard to beleaf people do this every day.

@zyzzyva: Image uploading is wonky - here they are

@zyzzyva: Oh I can't stand Apple headphones, not because I'm some audiophile who has to squeeze every smidgen of intonation out of the tiny speakers in my ears, but rather because Apple headphones, and all earbuds really, simply do not stay in my ears. I can literally go about 5 seconds sitting completely still

An inability to switch songs without digging your hand into your pocket, taking out the iPhone, pressing home twice, clicking the tiny "next track" arrow, and putting it away.

Anyone know what the 3DS's codename is? They always put the acronym in part model names, and the 3DS' is "CTR". What does it stand for?

I COMPLETELY agree with those first few paragraphs. A game's music can be a beautiful thing indeed, no doubt the reason you've assigned the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack to grace this article's image space - but then you say you have the courage to stop listening.
