I had a coworker swipe a bluetooth speaker I had just been given after winning a raffle. I knew I had left it on a table next to where he was working and asked if he had seen it. After a few he finally admitted he had “hid” it as a “joke”.

It’s the same kind of joke like when I “joke” with my wife about having a threesome: “I’m just kidding babe!...unless you’re into it...but if not, TOTALLY JOKING...but if you want to...”

If this were intended as a joke only (and there is no way on earth it was), who would want to do business with someone that has such poor judgement as to think this funny?

If it is a joke, the joke was taken WAY TOO FAR and AMP is a shady shoddy shop. Even if it is a joke, that doesn’t make it “OK”. Since they were working on a deal, I say its no question, a scam. A joke doesn’t involve an attempt to buy something.... They just got caught and are trying to get out of it.
