I’m in the market for two new cars. And have been for 6 months without buying as no one offers what I’m looking for. I don’t want a SUV, I want a light, airy, decent priced and performing sedan or coupe that also looks nice. Nothing, nada, zilch. Everything is ugly, heavy, slow or pricey and feels like sitting in a

And why you go to trade in your colourful car the dealer says it’s worth less because it’s not black or silver. Had that experience with my custom ordered orange and standard blue BMWs. Needless to say after 5 cars I am no longer a customer.

Tell me about it. I’m shopping a used C-class and I’m sick of the colour choices (or lack thereof). When did the world become so drab?

I keep trying to convince my kid to quit or pursue other sports, but since the age of 4 he has wanted to race. And at the age of 13 he has run his own team for three years and sound sponsors for the team. I am not dipping into my retirement fund, but while he is this committed I am committed. www.fastmyles.com

Get her into karting. My son races against some great female competitors, all of whom he see’s simply as fellow competitors.

Most aren’t. And those of its that aren’t have to work even harder to stay competitive wit the kids with the personal tracks, mechanics, chefs and the like.

Try getting insurance to race. Seriously, for a race enthusiasts since, so may are misinformed.

Let’s of people without money get into racing. They just have to work harder at it.

More often than not everything a family has is invested in a kids racing. Without sponsorships many would not be able to race. Our kids are not all Lance Stroll. And try and find insurance for racing...most likely the ask will get your standard policy cancelled.

I don’t care what colour your car is as long as it’s actually a colour and not another boring variation of silver, black or grey. Damn, what boring times we live in.

Doesn’t Tesla get enough free political advertising as it is?

Fix or replace door. Duh.

I think the sale of Crossovers sells more crossovers. I love small nimble coupes but I’m starting to tire of feeling like I’m driving in an endless valley on the road when surrounded by pickups, SUVs and Crossovers.

The rounded corners of the back seat of my Mom’s (and later my) 1969 Cougar remain to this day my most comfortable back seat experience.

I’m going to say what I say to my wife. Click the cap closed and put it upright. Damn thing never leaks on me.

Of the 30 or so cars I’ve owned, the first generation Miata was the most practical. As any time I need more space a friend, even those that scoffed at my “chick’s car” would trade with me in a heartbeat. Best bit is I bought the car new for $15.5k and sold 3 years later for just under $14k. Best damn ownership

I have kids. I’d happily jam them into a 2+2 sports car or a lightweight sedan.

And this is why I haven’t bought a car since my last two in 2012. No one sells what I want, a light bible fun to drive four seat car. I refuse, absolutely refuse to buy anything taller than my chest.

When did we backslide. Is it me or did the re-objectification begin with rap music or music videos? Seem attitudes were more positive to women in my era than they are now. I had hoped things would progress in a positive direction from my youth rather than regress to an early less enlightened time.

Exactly. Outfit then for the job not the visual distraction of teenage boys.
