Made me spit out my coffee. Now I’m cleaning my keyboard. Thx.

Hey, I resemble that remark.

What kills me is the crowd existing shows always eggs on the Mustang guys for a burn-out. I just ignore them. Seemingly, many don’t.

Don’t forget the huge aftermarket for these cars that encourages a certain type of behaviour.

No bitching from 65 to 78 as I recall. Was all Corvette then. It was 79 and on, that I started to see it, peaking whenever the Camaro and the Mustang were swapping bragging rights, and the fanatical owners of either had something to prove.

I’m 51, and it was the Corvette long before it was the BMWs, and now Mustangs. Except in Italian parts of town. There, at least here, the Mustang has always had a presence.

Mine too.

Not to worry, Ford is gradually moving the Mustang upmarket in terms of fit, finish, performance, price and ultimately to their advantage, margin.

P.S. Ford has finally figured out that the Mustang is their 911 and should be treated and evolved accordingly, or at least this will be the plan if the current leadership philosophy first put in place under the Boeing CEO and embraced whole-heartedly by Bill Ford and Co. continues. Sometimes it takes an outsiders

I believe the redesign is to address the weight. The car as it stands was part two of the evolution of the “correct” Mustang design language begun with the ‘05. The new car, although claimed to be all new used the general chassis layout and wheel base as starting point to keep prices down. This funnily enough, from

I was lucky enough to work on the Nissan account when these came out so I had ready access to the cars. Loved ‘em but in my heart lusted after the same era RX-7, a car that to me was a timeless beauty. Of course, owning the RX-7 was out of the question so I often “borrowed” the very trendy and odd yellow version of
