How is it that a popped collar works (and ohhhhhh how it works) on him but not on every frat boy in the US?

and (except for that initial scene) there appear to be no security footage taped and reviewed. So many places where the plot seemed to be remarking to the viewer, "hey, isn't this the sort of situation where a building would have a security camera?"

her ex is pretty dreamy. but hot British always tops hot American in my books - and I'm wondering if that's the kind of tension the show is going for. I hope they manage to spin it more like Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy than.....well, any other tv duo who ends up together.

Someone needs to tell me what British film stuff this guy got his start in so I can watch it RIGHT NOW

YES! How are they not noticing a missing corpse/cop car? This is a small(ish) town. There are not so many bodies in body bags and police cars that one can slip through unnoticed.

I've been wondering what the impression of non-white people would be. I love having a lead detective who's a woman! And a woman of color! And she is professional and competent, whereas if I was in her position, I would be a puddle of drool and lady-boners

I'm glad what I said reached a good audience! We are unicorns (love the metaphor) - and hey, public transit is finally coming to Arlington! I have a lot of hope for the future

I sent an email to the account you set up, by the way. Hope it came through

Still in my first year

Is it good in other ways though? I'm always looking for interesting, meaty shows

is the show that depressing? some of my friends have told me to watch it, but it looks very dark

So true! It was moderately cool (and by that I mean probably less than 90) on Sunday evening here in DFW, and I had a brief fantasy about fall weather

this photograph wins ALL THE INTERNETS!!!

Someone used to tell me (jokingly) that meant 'be a duck'. Ah, Nolan.

I know what you mean, re Ohio. I lived in Indiana for several years. It's not like it's the center of civilization (and it's not really a liberal place, outside of the largest cities)! But OH MY GOD the seasons! I loved them so much, and they're one of the few things I really miss

Are you in your first year of the program?

I have no idea how to communicate privately here. I'm pretty new to the commenting arena. I will look you up though : )

My current temptation is to mail a bunch of pictures of wire hangers, knitting needles etc to Jane Nelson and all the other female legislators who voted this into law.

I actually a Nolan grad too!

I'm currently a graduate student at UTA's school of social work. It definitely has gotten much fancier - at least, the main campus. Our social work complex is still pretty basic. But I love that they're trying to create a community that people will want to live in, rather than just
