@tselby: No only proprietary one which is only exclusive to windows, I run all my programs on linux and have no problem been using Linux for the past two years, and I haven't needed windows since. The only programs you can't use are proprietary ones, and for most programs there are if not 1, there are many good and

@smokeymaverick: actually that changed in the Ubuntu version you are Using, I came unto that surprise 2. They actually changed the way you could modify the splashscreen, because They wanted it to be ore streamlined for faster boot times.

@endolith: It works perfect for me, in every computer I install it in. But let's say I install it on my best friends computer, 2 days later for some random reason he's already having problems, I installed it 2 months ago on my laptop, after having it for 2 years on my desktop, and I haven't had one problem, it really

@TheFu: I actually ha ven't had wireless issues with any laptop I have tried to install modern Distros. from macbooks, acers, HP's, toshibas, I have installed Ubuntu in those and more and only had trouble with one wifi and that was the HP and it was fixed in the next release so it wasn't that much of a problem. @YellowRex: yes but these are certain laptops, and certain systems that have this option, if google can conjure up an OS that can be incorporated into every computer, it would open up many possibilities.

well, now that I think about it, let's say you have a 5 GB partition on your system where you install this OS, when you want a fast start Up time of less than 10 seconds, if possible where you can check your email and browse, but that's the only use i see for it, a fast loading extra OS on very small partition, that
