Do you have reference for the claim that doctors get kickbacks for prescribing? I've seen drug reps giving doctors shit for not prescribing as much of their product as they want, but I have never heard of kickbacks for prescriptions, and that sounds illegal.

Crabtree & Evelyn's gardener's hand therapy! My dog cannot resist that stuff. He will not let it go. It drives him nuts if he is in the same room as me, he so wants to lick it all off. I have to kick him out. If he is any indicator, you will be street harrassed by doggies if you wear it. And it smells good, unlike his

I had a dog who loved powdered donuts. She would act totally guilty but at the same time try to pretend it was all cool... with white powder all over her face. Maybe our reaxtions convinced her we'd always know... she eventually took to kenneling herself for transgressions we hadn't yet discovered. She would just

And people like this are why it can be hard to convince people to rent their vacation rentals to all the rest of us in our 20s. In my early-mid 20s I ran into a fair amount of resistence when trying to rent ski or lake cabins for a weekend with my friends. Name dropping our prestigious grad/med schools usually won

In my experience, OB-GYN attracts some great docs but also some who only seem to care about babies, and only about women in their capacities as good incubators. So I think the babies part of it can lead to women's health being managed by doctors who don't really care about them or their best interests.

Just FYI, there was a French study that found that going bra-less actually made women's boobs perkier (measured bI distance from shoulder to nipple.) I think it was because the bra-less women developed muscle to support the boobs which atrophy due to taking making them unnecessary. They didn't look at what happened to

Soma makes a comfy cotton bra without underwire that i love for wearing around the house when my boobs are sore. Its called the Embraceable Wirefree Unlined Heidi Bra, and it's the only bar of its type that I have found that goes above a C-cup (it goes up to 38DD) I do find Soma's bands can be a little snug, so if you

After a break-up a guy told me he was having dreams about knocking me up then leaving me. He asked me if that was fucked up. I told him of course it was, it was a power fantasy, a large reason we ended things is that he didn't feel he had as much power over me as he wanted, and he was still having issues dealing with

Eh I'd call you on Medicine there, it really hasn't kept up with the others. The AMA recommended that MDs not wear ties as they are unnecessary and spread disease, though that hasn't been widely adopted, it shows where things seem to be heading. (Of course that could also be solved with a tie clip, but that wasn't the

That's what the coke is for ;). I'm only half kidding, which is sad.

Eh, I always have armpit fat there, no matter my weight (even when I was underweight, and even when I was super in shape) including when I'm not wearing a bra. And I get my bras professionally fitted. There are plenty of other people like me. Sometimes thats just how the boob attaches to the body/where the fat sits.

I have a super sensitive abdomen (and chronic pain) due to endometriosis, so I can't wear any normal pants, but I can wear some maternity pants for a few hours at a time (some still push on my abdomen too much.) A sales associate once told me she gets a lot of ladies with endometriosis shopping in her maternity shop.

I'm so sorry for your loss. That lawyer sounds like a weasel. It does sound like the driver was probably an addict, and I can understand rehab plus a suspended license plus lengthy probation with an ankle alchohol monitering device instead of jail for a first-time DUI if the driver was an addict. Because something

Oh they know. Its just very philly. Unpolished and amazing for it.

I don't think they were laughing at the answers as much as the massive amounts of dead air time. I think they were straining to keep that interview moving and get anything out of it. He's been making a TV show and making the interview rounds, It seems they were just surprised at what a dull interview he was.

To me "a portion" is extremely significant. My problem was never with some of the asian characters dressing that way, but all of them doing so. But also, my frame of reference for these things is american, and it sounds like its a more common practice in the UK.

This. Also, racism against asians seems to always be especially downplayed as "not that big of deal."

That's an interesting point. It's also conceivable she wrote it more how it is meant to sound than the correct transcription by either system for the benefit of the majority of her readers who wouldn't be familiar with those systems. I know they deviate from the obvious pronunciation in some ways in order to
