A new Tobal would kick arse. I hated Battle Arena Toshinden, but loved this.

A Sega/Capcom/Namco/Bandai/Banpresto/Nintendo All-Stars fighting game would pretty much be the ultimate for me. Especially if Capcom could also rope in the Marvel license, too.

True, true. I really hope this spreads across the industry, though. It's easy to forget the human cost of our cheap gizmos sometimes, this is a great way to keep that at the forefront of our minds... and do something about it.

More of this please, everyone who manufactures a major gaming system sold in the United States.

Apple has never claimed they don't know what's going on. They are just going to hold their suppliers to higher standards than they had done previously. Apple are bringing the spotlight on themselves with this - whereas everyone else is getting a pass, seemingly.

Hmm, good point Re: blocking, but again, they won't be blocking web pages. Gatekeeper kicks in once the application has been downloaded and you attempt to run it, going by all of the write-ups I've read.

I had that issue too, I moved to the Mac version of Trillian because of the MSN drops.

No, because they are not doing anything to restrict anything 'Net-related. They are not saying "This app can have faster Internet access as they have signed up to one of our programmes."

It was more about bundling Internet Explorer in such a way that it had a significant competitive advantage over any other web browser. They tailored certain Windows APIs so that Internet Explorer could do things other browsers could not.

I would say it's fair to say it might kill Adium at least: that's Mac only.

I agree that they won't kill Dropbox, but iCloud is at least on Windows, Mac and iOS. That covers an awful lot of people right there.

I love Apple as much as the next iSheep, but I agree: it's one thing to prohibit something in guidelines, but engineering your product to prevent it in the first place is far more effective.

That's great, but your friend, or brother, or boss, or whoever else might be in your contacts list might not want their email address and phone number being given to random companies via often insecure communication channels.

This is really fucking bad. It's one thing to share *my* data, but the email addresses and phone numbers in my Contacts app do not count as my data: it's information about other people that they might not want shared with these companies.

We live in a world where the only way to consume without any negative repercussions is not to consume at all, which sucks, because by the time we're born we pretty much have to.

You just make it cheaper for the early adopters to upgrade to the latest shiny trinket, you're really not sticking it to the man.

While I agree that physical controls are often better than touch controls, especially virtual joysticks, Gameloft's Six Guns is pretty annoying by iPad standards. There are games that control better than that.

You clean your mouth out! I enjoy a Chipotle burrito. It is not a "real" burrito (as much as an American bastardardisation of anyone's cuisine can be "real") but it's far better than a lot of the options around. At least in places like Chicago. California, you probably can't go a block without tripping over a good one.

The editing in this video annoyed me. Especially that whole segment with the scratched record sound followed by out-takes of her opening the box.

I know a big thing for people when I was back in the UK was the retarded release delays. The UK is fine with US English, but we had to wait while the rest of Europe got localised versions.
